What Vitamins do you take ?

As you work in a health shop could you perhaps help me out pleaseee.

I take quite a few vitamins but was wondering whether it was healthy to take these together. I remember being told once at a health shop that you have to be careful with taking certain vitamins together. This my daily list of vits :

MSM-
silica
sea kelp
primrose oil
brewers yeast
B6
magnesium with zinc
vitamin c

Thanks in advance

Started yesterday with some new Zinc tablets :) Until now I only took the fizzy-tablets...but somehow I think "real pills" work better so I'm gonna try them now

I've just started taking Evening Primrose Oil but I don't know how many I should take?! It says on the tub that there is no recommended daily allowance and that you can take more than one. I'm a little confused,I'm taking 1 a day with food as a safe side

I've taken evening primrose before and I think I just stuck to one a day. If I ever took more it was probably no more than 2.

may I ask if anyone has seen improvements while taking evening primrose? I heard it's good for pre-menstrual symptoms, but if taken for something else how'd it work? Thanks!

nothing, if not to count a prescribed mineral.
but i took blood tests not long ago and all was perfect. and I'm a vegetarian.
is vitamins really needed for someone with perfect diet?

i don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread, but everyone taking medicines ought to check with their doctors before buying even vitamins. because if you buy it from a health store they don't have the same control of the amounts in it, and it can interfere with other meds.

^I have a terrible diet so I take vitamins to try and compensate for this until I sort myself out.

So far I cant say I have noticed any difference but I've only been taking them for maybe 10 days now. I started taking it because I heard that one of its benefits was hormone balancing which is why I started taking it

I have to confess i am a vitamin junkie and have been popping lots of pills! (vitamins)..i have spent ALOT of money on vits for my hair. I had been consistently taking them for over a year because the quality of my hair had been really bad. I didnt see any improvements so went to a dermatologist who told me to stop all my vits! I was surprised she said that but apparently vits do not work. I personally think vits just give a placebo affect. Then again i may be wrong..

Apparently oils are fine..whether their primrose oils, omega 3,6,9 etc..

I think vitamins are definitely beneficial.. I've seen what they can do for mood, energy and a sense of overall well-being when I'm not able to eat as I'd want to (tons of fresh produce everyday gets expensive :( ). And I highly recommend getting your levels checked, to know in which areas your body is lacking.

dumbfairy, thank you.. Let me know if you can see or feel an improvement!

I took Evening Primrose for sort of the same reason but specifically for hormonal acne. It's been awhile since I took it but it seemed to work.

^I'm hoping that if it does balance my hormones it'll perhaps have an effect on my hormonal acne. But to be honest I don't know how much I expect one extra vitamin to help me. We'll see.

I freaking love those Flintstones sour gummies, where the heck were they when I was younger? I got stuck taking those looney tunes ones that taste nasty.

^I took those Looney Tunes for years! I actually didn't mind, I liked looking at the different characters on them. They tasted a lot of iron though but I always washed them down with milk or OJ.

lol I remember when I was little that I would never remind my mom to give me my vitamins because I hated them. So once in a while I got away with it :p

1 natural source strawberry flavoured multivitamin a day :)

I found zinc tablets are incredible for boosting immune system, and especially during times of stress or if you are feeling vulnerable to colds... vitamin B complex & vitamin C can work wonders.
