When Did You Start Wearing Makeup?

I was 11 [almost 12], but I was already in 7th grade so it didn't seem as bad. Hm. I really only wore champagne coloured eyeshadows and pretty natural shades of lipgloss. I began wearing eyeliner when I was 13 and began wearing mascara when I was 14. At 15 I became a make-up addict and my collection of make-up become huge...Ha. Enough said. I am trying to stick with more natural looks now...but I still love doing my friends make-up <3.

I was about 12 years old... I was soooo cool with my too-pink-for-my-skin-tone foundation and wrong shade of consealer I looked like a clown, but I remember that every girl in my class looked like a clown also, so I was okay I guess

My mom got tired of my "total absence of makeup skills" when I turned 15 and got me a hour with a makeup artist to show me how to do it properly... That was fun... "Blending? What's that? Won't that take too long? I like to sleep in the morning you know..."

Now 14 going on 15, i just wear powder, mascara and lipgloss to school, if i go out i wear the same but with eyeshadow and blush(sometimes). I still cant to eyeliner though i tried but looked like a panda . i think i have definately learnt from my make up disasters and now my taste - the body glitter still haunts me!!- and technique is quite good!

Haha now I'm 15 I basically never wear make up to school - a little eyeliner (I learnt how to use it finally!!) and curl my lashes maybe if I'm going out straight after school. Out of school I'll maybe wear mascara or curl my lashes and eyeliner and maybe powder if I feel like it. so yes not much now.

As a little girl I started wearing sparkly & glittery nailpolish and lipgloss.. but I was 12 when I started to wear mascara and some foundation.. I started to use eyeliner and blusher when I was 15 I guess..

I started wearing the usual teenage-y stuff like nailpolish, eyeshadow, eyeliner when I was about 14 or 15. But I only started really buying good quality makeup and wearing it properly (so that it suits my skin tone, eyes etc) about a year or two ago. And I'm 24 now. Yep, I'm a late starter!

Before 12, I wore nail polish, lipgloss, some skincare

at 12, I wore mascara and lipgloss everyday, very very miinimal

at 13, I started foundation, experimenting, just wear some everyday

late 13 I wore lots of eyeshadows

at 14, makeup became my daily routine, no makeup, no life.

Was allowed to paint my nails at about 9 or 10 as a reward for stopping biting them.
Got to 13/14 and started experimenting with all kinds
Mid to late teens - too much make-up
Twenties - started getting it right & doing quality over quantity
Now (30) - will go out with none on sometimes which would have been UNTHINKABLE in my teens!

i remember my first make up products when i was 14...my liquid foundation was cover girl and my eyeshadow was a trio-palette from maybelline and mascara from maybelline too. and then i moved on to.. i nuovi - http://www.inuovi.com/index.asp when i was 16-18 and when i reached 19, it was anna sui all da way....

19-22 - glitter powder, colored mascara, eyeliners and eyeshadows

now(lazy and often on the go
basic works for me - powder, brows, blusher, lip balm, mascara/ curled lashes.
and maybe something glittery on occasions..

well im lucky ive got good skin so i dont need all this fondation, powders or whatever.
but the only kind of makeup i like is cool colored eyelinersand shadows. i only use that, not even mascara (makes your lashes fall out).

tried extensions before but require maintanence and for a lazy person like me, i guess i'd just go for primer and mascara. ;p

im wary of eyelash extensions, for fear of ending up looking like a cow or damaging my eyelashes, and yes the maintanence.

I attempted to wear foundation one day to school when I was in the eighth grade. I seriously looked like I was wearing a brown clay mask on my very fair skin. Of course, at the time...I thought I looked super hot.

I have always had pretty good skin, so I didn't wear makeup again until my senior year in high school. Even then, it was just mascara and a touch of eyeliner. Now I wouldn't leave the house with at least something on my face!

I used to paint my nails since I was about 10 but at 12 I went to a new school where everyone wore make up so I persuaded my mom to get me some. I rememeber it was

i usually dont paint my nails because of the maintanence and i prefer the natural looks a bit better, i just coat with clear nail polish to protect.

so i still wear barely any makeup but of course my colored eye things, i just got a new Lorac pencil and its FAB.

I started playing around with different coloured (and flavoured) lipglosses and nail polish from age 12 but didn't start eye makeup until I was around 16. My mum didn't wear much make up and I didn't have any older sisters but it was fun discovery for myself.

I've stopped with the nail polish - I buff and natural shine, and sometimes coat them with a clear coat. I don't do much in the way of foundation though, only for special occassions but I can't walk out the door without eye make up!
