I hate quoting myself but i need to add this...

the reason why i'm betting high on the Middle East ....like Afghanistan (i think it's part of the middle east ) is because the Afghan women are incredibly beautiful. They're facial bone structure is so define. their nose, their eyes. BUT, their culture is rather iffy at the moment. But many who are freed from the iron fist of the Talibans are embracing western ideals so who knows in the future if they'll embrace their women on the catwalk of NYC, Paris, Milan. I hope they do because this kind of beauty should not be hidden from the world. B)

I'm betting on the Middle East... like Afganistan. Just you watch, model speaking. B)

yup, brazil is south america's leading economy (despite debts and highly unequal income destribution). i beleive mexico is second.

I wouldn't consider Canada rich, in fact many Middle Eastern countries are much more wealthy.

Your word choice is ridiculous. Canada is not rich, it is well off. We have a debt of over 500 billion. We are well off due to the high taxes we pay which many Canadians argue are not used efficiently.

Yes, I mean the UAB, Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia's population is nearly the same as Canada and has a fraction of the debt. By my definition, this nations are rich in the sense of wealth and power. Read some stats. The UAB is growing extremely fast and is home to many fashion shops that aren't even found in Toronto or Vancouver.

Anyways, this argument is insignificant since I see very little correlation between the wealth of a nation and the wave of models. The most important aspect is the ability of model scouts to find potential models.

saying that canada is not rich is like an insult to the rest of the world. i mean, if canada isnt wealthy - a country that is part of the G7, with one of the highest GNP in the world - what does that make south america or south east asia or eastern europe.
there are various ways of calculating wealth. saudi arabia is sitting on like 25% of the worlds oil reserves but then who benefits from them?? like 1% of the population.

whatev's. I still think wealth (unfortunately) has a lot to do with a future eventual model wave. i DONT think its just by chance that the brazilian model wave coincided with the economic boom in brazil.....

i didn't mean ANTM.. by any means.. that show is a joke, but an entertaining one. i really have seen a lot of beautiful american models that really aren't getting a chance. just because you're american.. doesn't mean you can't look "unique" enough for high-fashion.. besides americans are of european-descent anyway.. usually all mixed up...

It's quite true really, I mean you know ANTM right? Sarah from ANTM 2 is part Persian and her father was kicking mad that she wanted to model. The older generation is defnitely conservative and sexist though.

Ypu can tellfrom how they dress too! They're basically clothed from head to toe. You can only see they're eyes. I have many friends who are Pakistani. They're not like that but they're relatives that live there are like that.

You can't say the ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST IS CONSERVATIVE just like you can't say the entire COUNTRY OF AMERICA is LIBERAL.

The "way some women dress" that you're talking about - that type of dress is something that SOME WOMEN from SOME CULTURES wear, not the entire population of women in the Middle East.

Um what "AMERICANS" are you talking about? Only white Americans come from Europe, the only real and true "Americans" are Native Americans who have always lived there.... every single other American is an immigrant, including European white Americans.... and American immigrants come from every single country in the world..... not just European countries.

I just think when people say "Americans" they should be VERY careful not to discount all non-white Americans.

I have never mentioned that I'm basing all my knowledge of Middle Eastern people on Sara of ANTM Cycle 2 . If you had read my post carefully, I have friends that are from Pakistan too. Not just one. A good handful infact. And if you had read the news, I believe that scientists said that everyone camefrom Africa orginally.

For me, there was a brief Canadian and Australian invasion, so I think it went something more like this:
