This was so beautiful year in fashion industry- so much fresh and new faces. so many nice shows and editorials.
but how do yo think which was the best model of this year? :woot:
and how do yo think which model will be big next year?:innocent:

i think the best model of this year absolutely was kasia struss. she was like a storm. she was getting all top shows top campaings... :flower:

but for next year i belive that new faces like zuzana straska, lucyna amszej, elianne smit , luize salmgrieze, nasya piankouskaya will get more shows and eds.:flower: love them all.

yeah. i totally agree!
she rocked paris! and i can't wait to see her in nys and milano!

If we are talking who booked shows and opened and closed show then the model of 2007 was Agyness Dean

trying to be objective, I'd give 2007 to Lara Stone or maybe Natasha Poly.. just because of the amount of work they bombarded us with throughout the year.

on 2008.... I think Adina Forizs and Siri Tollerod are both gonna get annoyingly bigger.. I've also got hopes on Ali Stephens and Karlie Kloss.. I'm not that visionarie to think of one name only but I'm sure there will be one, though it'll only be semi obvious until march I guess.. Meghan C. is kicking off the year with a cover so who knows, she might as well do better in the shows and show us what she got.. :innocent:

I have to give 2007 to Lara Stone...esp the first 6 months: her editorial work was amazing in quality and quantity...and there seems to be no end to it, with her Dec Italian Vogue cover. She's just warming up I fear (and hope!)

As for new girls...I expect an editorial influx of Meghan Collison, Siri Tolerod, Masha Novoselova, Ali Stephens and the three CK-show girls. But who knows really...perhaps Prada will open with a girl that'll break all the editorial records, come February.

Lara for 2007! Her or Raquel.

2008 can be a wildcard, but right now I'm predicting Alana (AND this isn't because I like her! I honestly think things are going to steam up for that girl!) or even Siri, assuming she'll get a Vogue cover soon. (Italia or an Asian country, I predict)

I'd give 2007 to Lara Stone, Anja Rubik or Raquel and I'm not sure about 2008, I'd like to say Toni Garrn or Abbey Lee-Kershaw.

2007 : Catherine McNeil & Agyness
2008 : Anja Rubik

2007: Maryna Linchuk, Erin Heatherton, Siri Tollerod, Vlada Roslyakova, Tanya Dziahleva
Let's wait&see what 2008 brings and who will be the next rising model

Lara is definitely the 2007 girl.
For 2008 I'd give it to Siri Tollerod or maybe Karlie Kloss, or Taryn Davidson, or Ali Stephens. These CK girls. Maybe even Adina Forizs. Or at least I hope

Lara & Anja for 2007. i hope Ali Stephens scores really big in 2008
for the record, i don't think she's a "CK" girl. She has way more edge than your average blue eyed, blonde hair beauty.

What about Michaela Kocianova for 2008?

That is a good possibility because things are really starting to warm up for her at the moment. For 2007, it has to be Lara Stone. I don't think any other model realy blasted through the year so amazingly, though next year seems like open game right now.

Well I would not necessarily say Lara-I would go Natasha based on the sheer amount of work she did and the overall exposure she has, or Raquel who is doing everything right it seems. Agyness, while she didn't seem to do as much runway as the others, would be the most obvious though because she was the most out-there of the models between gazillions of campaigns, covers, and so forth.

I would love Michaela to be the model of 08 however I am leaning more towards Meghan.

Natasha did do alot of work, but the way I look at it is like this:

When I think of a model of so and so year, I think a little more about the total amount of work but more about the hype that surrounds them. Sure they make work alot, but is everyone raving about them? Natasha had that moment back in 2005 where you could feel everyone was talking about her. She still works alot, but you have to admit, everyone was Lara crazy in 2007.:woot::flower:

Agyness Deyn and Lara Stone did pretty well overall, and Meghan Collison's quantity of work for the last half of the year was gasp-worthy.

Coco Rocha!
But I think it was a bad year for Gemma Ward, everyone just discussing her weight...:(just sad.

Unfortunately :yuk:.

The model of 2007 for me would probably be Lara! I'm pretty much in love with her; I hope in 2008 Coco gets more work, also Margaryta Senchylo, Toni Garn, but probably Meghan Collison will be the next big thing for 2008.

A new model that had a huge break through was Kasia, and Olga, I hope Olga gets more work and maybe her own Vogue Italia cover. 2007 defeniately belongs overall to Agyness Deyn and Lara Stone. Although Agyness was on US Vogue Cover! It's like her second or third season and she was on the cover, that's big, and a Vogue Italia cover! Then again Coco had the US vogue cover, and then two Vogue Italia covers.
