The Lanvin coat is actually a classic trench in a very light wool material - not the usual synthetic trench material Lanvin is known for - with a detachable mink collar. It comes in both the Navy Blue and Mocca colours - but I am so p'd off as they never ordered it in the Navy in my size! This is something that seems to be happening far too often here. It 's a great piece that I could actually wear everyday unlike with their staple party dresses which would just molder in my wardrobe!!!

Thank you Grill, I still feel pretty bad about not buying the dress. I don't even know why I hesitated.

The coat you described sounds gorgeous! I haven't seen it but I will be on the lookout for it and if I see it in your size (you never know!) I'll let you know.

Right now, I am really loving Lanvin and Alexander McQueen's coats. Speaking of McQueen, I am lusting bigtime after his dark green crocodile bag. Sadly the green is only being sold in a few stores around the world and they're not even taking names down.

I'm really lusting for a pair of A.P.C. raw selvedge denim jeans right now...my Dior raw denims have stretched way too big for my waist and it gets quite uncomfortable wearing it around as I'm always adjusting the pants' waist.

I'm debating whether to go with the New Standards, which are selvedge but also kind of baggy, or the tighter 'Cure' style which apparently would fit like the Diors but at the same time not selvedge, and I kind of want to own a pair of selvedges since i never have.

I am dying for some flat boots for fall, as well as some slouchy wrapped suede heeled boots to pair up with some heavy wool socks a la Marc Jacobs.. I just totally dig that look and it will be at least somewhat practical for a cold Canadian winter
