Pilati has come a LONG way from his first YSL collection.

I still think I prefer his stuffy, ruffly, Parisian chic collections of 2005 and 2006. I haven't been as ecstatic or excited about his FW 07-FW 08 collection so far, but I would definitely say that I like this one best out of all of his YSL collections under this new direction.

Without the hair and eyepiece, this is quite an ordinary collection but I would like to reserve the right to change my mind!!

I like the minimal aspect coming from the jacket, and to think that I wasn't expecting any color from this collection.

reminds me of Mr. Saint Laurent muse, Betty Catroux's sleek glasses & sharp look.

Wow! Everything looks great so far. I didn't really like Pilati's SS08 collection, but I think I'm going to love this

wow. stunning. Not only have they managed to make black lipstick look chic, I just love the entire direction of this. It's so so fresh. It has some great, almost masculine shapes but also some 'feminine' detailing. It's strong and soft. I love the splash of the color on the grey coat. There are a million pieces here I love and the overall shapes as well is so fantastic. And i feel like Pilati has been consitant. If you look at the parisienne frilly stuff he did and look at this now, it seems so different, but i feel like if you look at the collections in between there's been constant movement in this direction, and there are some hidden frilly details here and there. That all said, I agree that blue satin jacket looks cheaply made.

Looks really good so far, the dress in #26 is beautiful, love that color!
