WHILE the life of Chanel will be depicted on the big screen (in Coco Avant Chanel with Audrey Tautou cast as Coco), the life of fellow fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent looks set to take to the stage.

According to WWD, French singer Alain Chamfort and songwriter Pierre-Dominique Burgaud are working on a musical based on the designer's successful rise through the fashion ranks, from his time at Christian Dior through to his own couture career.

Of the songs featured, Saint Laurent's partner Piere Bergé said: "They are very good," and "moving".

Erm how should I go about doing it if it's from a book? I wrote it in the title; it's 'Yves Saint Laurent Style'.

An outfit and sketches from the African collection, which I really like. From the same book, 'Yves Saint Laurent Style'.
