Yves Saint Laurent Mens F/W 08.09 Paris

So I have to agree with Cathy Horyn when she was saying why Pilati didn't make this for women. These clothes look so feminine. Even the model posed like he were a female model. These clothes look too beautiful and too sophisticated, kind of "a boyish doll, without any attitude". Maybe bc of the styling? I like the blue short jkt pair with the black skinny trouser.

I have a pair of pants from Ralph Lauren that fit that way, and they are my favorite pair of pants.

They are just too formal to wear everyday, and my office is kind of casual. If I had more oppouturnities to wear them, Id wear them always. And by more, like these YSL ones.

I am not so sure about the styling but most of the pieces are lovely.

beautiful colours.. love the first two of the second post.. the sky blue trousers... oh oh love them all..!

Beautiful collection!
Especially love the knit coat/sweater. All the right proportions too!

omg! this is my favorite collection so far. i love everything about it. the coats are wonderful! i love the colors that they used.

Wow, just wow. I love every single one. I never expect YSL to be this good :P

Oh wow, I haven't read Cathy Hornryn's blog yet, but it seems a lot of women out there are wishing for the same - easy, sharp, sexy, mod clothes that aren't too done up as if for a cocktail party. I hate all the "work" clothes out there. I thought I spotted it at the first Chloe collection by Andersson, but then it was like a glimmer of promise that got snuffed. :(

i agree. a perfect beautiful collection. must help to have such a controlled presentation. i like it but hope that it isn't a sign of things to come.

I got the same vibe. A woman could very well wear some of the pieces.
I'm not too fond of this collection.

Very refined, stuff I'd be wearing if I was of that age, however those looks with the bright blue, green and yellow are a bit off?

I really didn't like that video. It was just trying too hard to be stylish...

this is a wardobe to invest in .. love it .. love it .. love it

& i agree with you dior couture on the velvet blazers .., I want all the colors .. well if money is no option :(

My favorite Mens show this season.
The second half is lovely.. reminds me of Mick Jagger in the mid 60's, and that's hardly a bad thing.
