Alexander McQueen S/S 08 Paris

I really want this belt! :D The dress would be nice, too.

Amazing collection, love the headpieces, feathers and silhouettes *_*

I can see dita von teese in some of this. Nonetheless, it's boring and stiff like her.

the hats are realllyyy amazing!!
and the wings. i just like everything about this show!!

I just saw the vid on style.com and all I can say is ... this is NOt a collection .. its a wardrobe!!! How cool is that!!!??

^^^^ I especially adore that voluminous triangular top in that HQ.

Overall really beautiful amazing pieces. It truly feels like a natural progression, you can see echoes of past collections, but it doesn't seem rehashed, more like simply the next step. :flower:
I thought he looked sweet in his kilt and mickey sweater too.

I think the shoes look rather impractical & definitely uncomfortable..

If this is supposed to be a "greatest hits", well, Ive seen better from him.

^^I agree. It's a little weird to me. I mean, they are his greatest hits because the particular show they were from were spectacular and so thematic and so emotional! (For example, the rainbow dresses were the highlight of the SS 03 show, (that and the oyster dress) and his SS 03 show was phenomenal), but when you put all these different bits and pieces from all his best shows of the past, there's nothing to hold it all together. It's all too random. He could have done so much better.

i loved all his pieces. individually though all together they dont really make a sensible collection however i love his use of feathers even though i'm not a very feather person myself.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Viviane's dress! So beautiful, everything seemed so random though...

Definitely architecturally inviting. The shapes he's created are beautiful.
