I recently thought of this show as a continuation of FW 06/07 ... I mean ... remember the end? Kate Moss as a ghost figure floating? And what do we get for this SS 07 season? Ghost like models on ethreal dresses -and some references for victorian- .. hum Im happy

I want to stalk this man. His work absolutely astounds me. His clothing is emotionally moving. I completely understand those of you who reference his doing clothes for an opera being something that comes to mind.

Hahaha, just felt I needed to point out that I don't usually express myself as roughly as in my post above. I suppose the initial shock of taking in this collection left me a tad sparse.

^Understandable, if I possible to have a fashion religious experience then it would be after viewing McQueens divine collections:P . I just noiced how amazing the shoes are from this collection as well, I love the pink feather sandals with the lucite heel!:D

I know what you mean. I found this at Bergdorfs.

I guess Alexander stays in buisness by showroom tone downs of his themes. Along with Galliano he and Husein must do major tone downs to apease the Gucci group and LVMH heads. sad though. I would love to see a tiered ruffled burgandy satin jacket. or one of his Mqueen's coccoon dresses; or better yet a Husein table dress or LCD screen dress but you have to make the money I guess.
Its the buyers as well though. A more avante garde or super highend special boutique with only one store will proably have the strict interpretatons. Pat Fields stores prob have the exact stuff.

That's what I hate about McQueen. He's always on the top ten collections lists, but really, it's not ready-to-wear, it's couture. And I'm not saying that in a complimentary way, just a realistic way. Though his S/S 07 collection is absolutely beautiful, the only things that are hitting the stores are covered with butterfiles.

My sentiments exactly Alexander should see if the Gucci group will let him start his own haute couture house. that way he will be able to do both spetrums of fashion.
