wow...there are some real Wang haters out there for whatever reason. i for one luv this collection to bits!

Like, that last glittery black dress. Yes, that's the dress that the young celebrities are more likely to purchase, but I simply don't understand what it's relevance is.

I completely agree! I don't look to Alexander Wang for evening wear/cocktail dresses--it feels completely out of place. There are pieces that I like and it seemed coherent but then other things that came out of left field for me.

i used to be obsessed with alexander wang, but this collection... i don't really have words yet.

You know its an interesting take on the country club/preppy look but I'm not sure it is one that we needed. I think it ended up being far more kitschy than he probably intended. There are some looks that I really loved and others that just fell flat. The overstyling and sometimes the literal interpretation of a sporty-turned punk look (like the black addidas stripe pants and the football purse) just made it hard to see the few individual pieces that are actually wearable. And the random black cocktailish evening wear was completely out of place.

Well, I do actually like it a lot... I think it's better than last season.

he'll never be anything more than a copycat - and a very bad one at that.

This is actually a collection I like for 50% of the time. Feels very Miu Miu with a New York ease, quite different from his previous collections and the other shows so far. He does present a point of view here - very hip American sportswear. I don't wear clothes to "flatter" my figure, so that to me is not a consideration.

I had the same thought....it's only half bad this time. :p

i don't like what i'm actually seeing, physically, but as just a concept, i like what he's doing with the thick jerseys..and to keep it the grey it often is, than in another colour makes it more obvious and reminds what jersey's more traditionally used for...

i've seen galliano and westwood do the same but whatever ^^

he's even used it as a lining. how interesting.

I'm getting this Dior S/S 01? (the hiphop collection), McQueen S/S 05 and overall Vivienne Westwood vibe. The latter mainly in choises of fabric, fabric treatment and colors. All mixed up and gone slightly 2010. I don't think I like it though :(

I LOVE the color scheme and some individual pieces are fantastic, but as a whole it's a bit of a mess...

I agree! The individual pieces look awesome.
But it looked like he was trying too hard to try and make the looks
effortless.

love the studded pyramid bag, the rest i dont care :( mostly are a bit exaggerated pieces that you can find in average stores any season

You have completely hit the nail on the head, for me at least. That is the reason why I have just never gotten what was so great about him. His hype has never really been about the clothes.

Though when I first heard his name it was about his cashmere and t-shirts. I definitely agree. Too much styling and it seems this season he has tried too hard , his colour palette has completely changed , even the materials he is using it seems.
