It's not surprising that he took another "unexpected" turn by trying to update the image of his brand.. it's a smart move that he doesn't want to dwell on the hype he gained with Wasson and is trying to push his image towards a wider range. However, he can never go all the way because he's not an original designer and is overrated.. like someone mentioned earlier he will always be a copy cat. It's like what he is trying to do is beyond what his talent allows him to master. I believe he has a lot of talent just within the borders of what he can do well, but the hype has gone too far. I saw a bunch of people mentioned Westwood, indeed I thought the same thing, along with a few other designer "inspirations" he must have taken. I assume there will still be a lot of people buying this collection, but I definitely won't be one of them. Good for him for his success though. Obviously he's made some great moves, but I do hope that New York can put out more talented new It designers in the future.
