All About Your Jeans...

Until last month I owned around 50 pairs of jeans, and am always looking for new brands to try. The ones I've had most success with are Paige jeans - they always fit perfectly, and are so flattering. They're my 'go to' jeans, when I'm not feeling the best, or when nothing else looks right. I also wear a lot of Tsubi.. my Courtney Black Lean Beans would have to be my most worn and loved jeans of all.

Brands I'm dying to try are Serfontaine, See by Chloe, and some of the newer labels of last year such as 18th Amendment here in Aus and Cheap Monday.

Currently I'm developing a passion for dry denim - after spending so long trying different styles and washes in various brands, I love the idea of creating my own! The dry denim brands I own are mostly Nudie and Denimbirds (of course!), plus a pair of Tsubi Lean Beans in dry denim. Because I own so many it's a slow process developing the patina, but I'll get there!

Do we have a dry denim thread? I'd love to see what others have done with theirs!

Anyone know of nice jeans for short petite girls? I'm 5'2 and can't find ANYTHING short enough for me. I always have to wear heels with my sevens and it drives me nuts.

A number of short women of my acquaintance (shorter than you) have been happy with Lucky Brand's size range and styles. :flower:

I'm big on jeans, bought pair of sevens few months ago but were too small and gave them to sister. They look really nice and was about $150. I'm happy with good old hollister jeans, their skinny fits me really well.

If they're nice jeans, :/ I suggest getting them tailored.

I've tried Tsubi, Acne, Cheap Monday, &Denim, April 77 so far and think i prefer Tsubi.. But then again Acne fit's me best, as i tend to buy too big jeans, thinking i'm a 26 or 25, when i'm a 25 or 24.. And i guess i'm afraid of trying on a 24 and not fit it, which is my nightmare, call me shallow.. I might keep the Acne i was so "back and forward" about too, as i've gotten alot of compliments showing them to friends at home.. hmmm.. I might wear them once, see how i feel and then decide what i'll do.

i just bought the best jeans ever. its a fairly new australian label, "18th amendment". i bought the "hayworth" design. my god they are soo good. for people that don't know about them they are inspired by the roaring 20's and the modern world. each jean is based on an icon, hayworth, bacall, hepburn, sedgwick etc.

1921, People's Liberation and Rock & Republic jeans seem to fit me the best.

I have about 20 pairs:
armani (so over them now)
COH
SFAMs
acne jeans
RL jeans
zara jeans
R&R jeans

Oh, I love denim so much. My current stand-bys are:
- J Brand (the perfect fit for me)
- Levi's Capital E
- Levi's
- Earnest Sewn

Later this week I'm going to finally try some Del Forte denim - my friend works for the company and of course loves them, plus they're organic and eco-friendly. Green jeans!

I'm envious of my boyfriend's collection of Nudies (he even has the white ones), so he's convinced me to get involved with raw/dry. Would love to get some Denimbirds and tried on some Iron Army jeans last weekend in LA that were pretty hot... Unfortunately they were the washed version, and I want the raw!

I'm a couple of inches shorter than you are, and I've got two pairs of Levi's that I can wear with flats.

The first pair of Levi's are super soft and comfortable. Probably the softest and most comfortable denim I've ever owned. The second pair, though... I don't know if the sizing changed, or what, but they seem tighter, thicker and stiffer. I can't figure it out because they were both made in the same country (someone mentioned once that Levi's made in country X were better than Levi's made in country Y), and they're both the same model. Maybe it's the different wash that makes the denim stiffer? Eh. I'm really bummed because the first pair were so great.

My last pair are BDs that I bought on sale for cheap. They make my legs look incredibly long and they don't have any funny fading or frills or stitching, which I love. Just denim.

So far the best fitting pair of jeans I have are Earl skinnies. But I need to really get a nice collection together, I'll be taking notes ::flower:

I got a pair of jeans from Del Forte and I LOVE them. Gorgeous details (very Art Nouveau), great denim, perfect fit.

I'm dying after some Superfine's..

Would it be possible to wax some regular, black skinnies so they would be similar to the waxed superfine pair? If so, how would i do it?

i've tried designer, selvedge, etc.
i'm back to levi men's 501 shrink to fit.
