I like Anna dello Russo. I don't know why, but I just feel like she is a "down-to-earth" (which must sound completely ridiculous to anyone who doesn't care about fashion) woman, and doesn't take herself too seriously. I could be totally wrong though. I like the way she talks, she sounds like a much more approachable lady than other fashion icons in the English-speaking world, like Anna Wintour or Daphne Guinness. Again, that might be pure illusion. Her dedication to fashion and dressing-up also sounds much more natural and straightforward than people like Carine or Anna Wintour.

I think it was the former.
In her photos, it does look like she rarely wears makeup, if any.
