Recently there are just more boys walking for Fendi than girls. And it's pretty steady since then. All this probably doesn't mean anything, but why is that. Does this have to do with appealing the brand/clothing to Asian men/buyers/retailers? Or random number of Asian models walking each season is the norm, depending on the collection. Perhaps it's both.
Is this the same for women too? Looking back, it was still a pretty "white/European" brand and I could see Asian girls that could have walked. But again, no need for Asian models because it's not necessarily reaching out to the Asian demographic, buyers, market, etc., right?
That's just my personal view and understanding the business and marketing and especially now with technology and social media. If this is the case, then this is a no-brainer.
Interestingly, this season is the most for Men (8), while SS18 is the most for women (6), ever.
Xiao Wen most walked with six consecutive season.
Also a bit surprised that there were more guys walking the mainline than Emporio (7 to 5). Think it's usually the other way around.
Hu Ge is in his third campaign for Emporio too.
