shoes youve seen and some you have not
my coloring skills are not that great...lol i am ashamed :(
i dont have enough colors to render the 3 tone or more toned shoes so exscuse those.

you've interesting designs, devon. i like all the structural pleats, ridges
i wonder what material you'll use to make it for the shoes? or how you also plan to do it in fabrics...

Raul7 I really love those clothes and the armour like quality the first and last ones have - totally beautiful.

DevonDevore I really like those desert designs - really original, and I am just a pushover for originality :)
Ha! I was just looking back through the pages, Devon, and I saw cool looking shoes and thought i'd comment on that person too - turns out it was the same :D

i really wish i knew how to sewand drape because just drawing themisnt enough for me :( hopefully FIT can recognize that im serious about this....
anyway
thoughts on this design? the purple side is draped under the (supposed) sand colored fabric
i need to start drawing the back of these garments and im gonna explain how they are gonna be made. anyway

that one person does bring up a point about learning anatomy which is a good one. i know enough to basically coast by being in that im a comic artist....another point i would like to make is that a good portion of your designs seem like they have been done already. try to go for something abstract. this may sound crazy but read some comic books and look at how the characters are designed and think how you can tone that down into something couture or something wearable. as far as the people being mean, you have to learn to brush it off. if everyone were nice nothing would get accomplished, so whenever someone gives you a negative comment, unless they are saying something constructive, just knod and agree lol.

well im going to tell you why im so sensitive to these comments.
i got to a extremly academic driven school where about 90% of the students get above 96% at their year 12 exams and we fought arm and leg to get into the school. And i was one out of 200 to get in. The teachers frown appon my career choice and i get negative comments from them all the time about wanting to be a fashion thats why i turn to ppl on the net but blah...... yeah and my parents say they support me but im sure they dont.

hey voguelover,

dont stress out about it too much. Your only 15 right? believe me, my pics were basically the same as yours when I was your age. It just takes lots and LOTS of practice. But hey, its fashion and if you love it it won't feel like work ;-)

models are okay at the beginning, i had to start out that way as well, but if you want to get more precise with your drawings start practising drawing them freehand. Even if you keep the designs really simple, it'll help. Once your able to get the model your using atm right without using it, print off some runway pics to see how the girls actually look on the runway. it'll be frustrating as hell, but believe me be patient and you'll impress yourself with how much you improve =)
