Aspiring Fashion Designers Lookbook, Post your Work. (See Post #1 before posting.)

^^ Thanks! I will definitely post pics.
And Kora I still do plan to make that red dress, but for some reason it's been impossible to find the right kinda of fabric! And the best fabric store in Sydney that I always go to has been closed for renovations for about 2 months!

However just 2 days ago I did take these photos of a dress I made for my portfolio, so I thought I'd share!

I've never posted in here before...I started drawing this past September (had never even sketched before and really started from zero not even knowing how to shade anything) and here are some of my illustrations. There are several different styles because since I am just learning I played around a lot...still trying to figure out which style of illustration feels best to me.

This is basically the extent of my drawing collection...Nothing else is good enough to share lol But I think it is pretty good considering I've only been drawing such a short time

Moderators' Note:

Just so everyone knows, this thread is for aspiring fashion designers who wish to share drawings or photos of things they have actually designed or are in the process of designing.

If you are illustrating things that have been designed by other people, are an aspiring illustrator or merely practicing illustrating there is a thread for that in the Art & Design forum: TFS Fashion Illustrations!

I have moved a few illustrations there, in case you are looking for yours. If I made a mistake ... and it's is something that you have designed, just PM me and I'll move it back here.

Thanks, everyone!

Back again with a new design. It's a dress that could also be worn as a top. You can play with the layers so it's very versatile. Softness with an edge . This is not the final version of the dress but it gives you a good idea of what I'm working on .

It's a simple, classic piece with a twist. A literal twist - I added some knots . Let me know what you guys think!

Grunch yours are fantastic!!!
They look so well made and fit perfectly!
I love the tight, overlaying sheer white fabric in the first one, it's so modern but looks as if it were woven by a spider.
And I love the simplicity of the black one, with the scoop at the back and the gathered, knotted fabric.
You are a brilliantly talented dressmaker!
Do you study fashion anywhere?

Hi! It's my first post here so welcome everyone:smile: I want to share with you some project I've made for my portfolio for Fashion Design. What do you think about it and is this enough good to send it to university?

I tried to incorporate many part of historical clothes - empire waistline, gigot sleeves and some kind of spanish coat from XVII century. And the "session" is inspired by the photo in my avatar
