Baby food - healthy snack?

And am I the only one who finds fruit totally portable?

no you are not the only, i always take an apple or mandarin or something with me when i know that i won't be able to eat for a while. besides i think that those baby food jars break easily, so fruit is easier to grab.

but i eat babyfood (the fruit and berry ones) to keep my sugarcraving away. a simple fruit just won't do it for me. though i do agree that i could do my own baby food by just mashing the fruit but maybe i'm lazy :D maybe that is the problem, people's lazyness. it's so easy to buy without any fuzz. one can just eat it and doesn't have to do anything to it.

^ oh I love this jam!

but I admit I am sorely tempted to try babyfood now out of sheer couriosity...

^ I love that jam too! The raspberry is to die for. It's the only kind I'll eat right now.

I have had that jame too! Anyway so I still don't get whats good about baby food?

OK...just an update. I brought in a mini jar of apricot baby food to work on Monday. I have an office, so I didn't think it would be weird if I ate it when my door was closed. A co-worker/friend of mine who pops in whenever (we have a very Mary/Rhoda relationship) caught me in the act, and was like, "Are you reverting back to childhood?" It completely ruined the last 2 spoonfuls for me (and with these jars, you only get 3 spoonfuls as it is!). I still love baby food, but I brought fruit to work today and am saving the baby food for home...so no one but my puppy can give me a look of shame and threaten to send me to the nuthouse!

I don't understand how something prepackaged and coming out of a factory would be any healthier than say mashed bananas or whatever. I think just eat fruit and veg -better than buying stuff and funding corporations who have nobodies interests at heart but their own.
Fruit is sold by corporations too. And, I'm pretty sure they're interested in profit too...not just the philanthropic hope of keeping the world healthy.

Many fruit corporations also have extensive histories of unethical practices...so it's not just the baby food industry.

Back on topic, I think these are delicious...

There are lots of flavors, but sweet potato is actually the best. You'd never know it's baby food.
