no you are not the only, i always take an apple or mandarin or something with me when i know that i won't be able to eat for a while. besides i think that those baby food jars break easily, so fruit is easier to grab.
but i eat babyfood (the fruit and berry ones) to keep my sugarcraving away. a simple fruit just won't do it for me. though i do agree that i could do my own baby food by just mashing the fruit but maybe i'm lazy maybe that is the problem, people's lazyness. it's so easy to buy without any fuzz. one can just eat it and doesn't have to do anything to it.
