no you are not the only, i always take an apple or mandarin or something with me when i know that i won't be able to eat for a while. besides i think that those baby food jars break easily, so fruit is easier to grab.
but i eat babyfood (the fruit and berry ones) to keep my sugarcraving away. a simple fruit just won't do it for me. though i do agree that i could do my own baby food by just mashing the fruit but maybe i'm lazy
