Oh no...the jackets are going to be expensive!

For instance, this one:

look at the buttons (in addition to the fabric&trims last time i know they were using the factory that makes Chanel jewelry to make all those colorful buttons and they were expensive. those new buttons, only look more complicated hence more expensive

The shoes are like...a lego-sports gear hybrid! They're so fun!

Except for the "timberland" ones, I have to agre on the frightfulness of those!

One the one hand, underneath the loud colours I see well constructed coats and dresses that epitomizes Ghesquiere at his most consistent.

On the other hand, I can't ethically praise this while sh*tting of Prada at the same time.

Ok i looked at the entire collection, finally,
with the exception of the Jackets (amazing quality) i hate everything in this collection.
i think this is his worst collection.
and i am saying this as an ardent fan.
what was he thinking............
this is TERRIBLE.............
what could posses a man to design (or approve the design) of shoes like these.
are there any women in thier right mind who would wear shoes like these.

they remind me of some "matie" and "sketel" (not good words to describe a woman in Jamaican dialect) shoes ($5) that were imported from the far east that i hated with a passion!!!!!!!!!

I don't understand why everyone is saying this is unexpected. Sure his past 3 seasons have been different, but this fits his mode. People have posted examples and you can head to style.com to see Ghesquiere's pre-SS 06 collections. I mean, he did a collection in scuba for goodness sake! This is far more his style than last season or the season before. Those seasons were far more unexpected given his style than this collection.

I really like the 20s style flapper dresses and the shoes are bad *** but the PANTS............are like GAP pants on crack....i mean khaki jodhpurs .....and they are like crumpled and sh*t..i expect more sleek and sharp trousers from him .......

This collection isn't that bad (except for the shoes, oh gawd). But I'll lie to neither you or I, this is one of the weakest collections I've seen from him. It's good, it's interesting, it will SELL, but there just isn't enough meat on the bones. It quenched my thirst but now I'm still hungry. I'm not so sure I'd be as dissapointed if this weren't Nicholas Ghesquire. I'm not entirely sure I'll feel the same way in a couple of months. I'll have to sit on it.

i worship balenciaga, but this is...

first the bland color swatches for the motorcycle line, and now a bland collection. f/w 07/08 is just not Ghesquiere's season. after his last few seasons, this is very disappointing.

to not completely bash this: it does seem more wearable than previous collections... and i really love some of those coats. but i think he could have taken the "Wearablility" approach in much less style. the mish-mash of styles looks very uninspired, and comes out a mess. I think s/s06 and even f/w05 were much better in the wearability execution while still being brilliant.

quite suspect really. the prints in contrast with those silhouhettes remind me an awful lot like Christian Wijnants and Jonathan Saunders....

i liked some things from the preview but it didn't translate on the catwalk to me.
