Givenchy HC F/W 07.08 Paris

Is that Adina Fohlin (near the end)?

The sequins on the dresses don't work for me, and the weird textures in the first half of the show remind me of Prada FW07/8... Overall the dreamy Gothic vision from his last couture hsow is preferable.

If I didn't know otherwise I'd say the first part (the laced-up nude tailoring) was early McQueen. I liked it when he did it, and quite liked it here, but it's done.

The rest of is mostly miss, a little hit. He's so talented but just all over the place. I am glad to see him move away from too-obvious darkness -I love the aesthetic, but, again, it's already done.

I really like Riccardo Tisci, I love how everything has a dark and decadent aura, although I have to say I liked best the last spring-summer show.

I like how the leopard print emerges and how it looks like a bad photocopy which fades and leaves a black stain at the end of the paper. This may sound strange, but the texture and colours make me think of this, lol.

Grabbed this from the Jessica Stam thread, anymore HQs of the rest of the show? :flower:

Im sorry but these pieces are just plain hideous. Its something a socialite would wear to try and be *fashionable* and *chic*.

This collection disappointed me SOO MUCH. It is atrocious and it doesn't even look couture. This is what Cavalli would do if he showed in Paris. Its *Roberto Cavalli goes to Paris and tries to be avant-garde*.

Terrible and disappointing. I hope this won't inspire the Spring 2008 pret-a-porter, because THAT would be a catastrophe...:innocent:
