a friend of mine really wanted the Karung platforms, in white. She rang every stockist of Balenciaga in the UK and then got in contact with Balenciage in Paris, to be told that they never went into production I've seen these platforms in quite a few shoots,i can't believe no where stocked them at all! Is this normal, and is there really no hope of getting a pair?

^you mean the lego shoes? they are $5k+! I guess they don't think many people will buy them and ti's a pain to make them, too.

i know they are crazy but i think they are kinda cool too. Tis' a bit disillusioning that creators of more avant garde stuff dont find a market for it, no? Any Balengiaga insiders - is there really no hope of finding these shoes?

sorry to disappoint you guys but I really dislike the shoes...they don't really fit my personality and lifestyle...
i guess that they were by special order only, and i'm curious to see who ordered them...

Is there anything left to say about this collection?

I find it really hard to see collections like Balenciaga either way reaching towards the stellar almost-couture prices (including increasingly ridiculous footwear that costs 5000 bucks) and the almost meaningless, loveless designs at a low pricepoint under the capsules. Some of the fabrics I am seeing in the pre-collections are hardly any better from contemporary brands, let alone APC.

It seems as if it's becoming increasingly difficult to find something that looks at least somewhat decently 'designed' and with a certain quality level at a pricepoint that is not as high as the couture pieces in the show - but that seems to be a problem not only at Balenciaga but at other brands as well.

Me too Im crazy about that last bag, I want I want!!! I wasnt sure about the accesories when i first saw the show, but I really like all the pics on style, theyll photograph fierce!

^ I agree. Hate the bag and the boot like shoes. I actually kind of like the shoes in the first picture, but more of as a concept, not to actually wear.
