Balenciaga S/S 10 Paris

I love the collection. The clothes look cool. I can imagine myself wearing it and feeling confident and happy. The colors looks pretty and appropriate for spring.

i love everything towards the beginning. lots of amazing pieces to mix 'n' match...especially the pants and skirts w/the elastic waistband that reminds me of the shorts that boxers wear..... towards the end, the patchwork dresses...i don't know how i feel about those yet.

she forgets, or doesn't know, that not all google entries are kept over a 12 year period (or even 5 for that matter)....for whatever reason, posts are deleted over time - so her comment about google figures is incorrect, and misinformed....

i think she's talking about now. today.
NG works for 12 yrs and has xxx entries on Google. TODAY !
CD works for 4 yrs and has xxx entries on Google. TODAY !

lots of amazing pieces to mix 'n' match

pretty true.

the pants and skirts w/the elastic waistband that reminds me of the shorts that boxers wear.....
true. and brings on the sportswear trend from Alexander Wang to Paris.
but also reminds me some ugly cheap outfits.

my main problem is i think that it's too much RTW. like there's no story telling. no drama. no emotion. just a real RTW collection with no sentiments. like in i'm doing my job. i'm paid for that. nothing more.

i am just loving the mix of textures and the use of colours. nice to see something other than the peaches and oranges everyone else seems to be using. (though i do like peach and orange)

I don't see what's wrong with this collection...I'm loving it. There's something easy and cool about it without losing the aspirational beauty and workmanship Balenciaga is known for. The details are just incredible. I love the urban vibe and the use of color.

I just can't deal with leather vests hoodie sorry.

The collection is bloody ugly. I think I like one piece and it's the grey skirt which isn't that exciting.

Did he even try. I would hate to be on the design team.

HQ's are also up on Coutorture. The collection certainly improves upon inspection; the detail is brilliant.

Wow. The more I look at this collection the more appealing it becomes. The materials and the innovation in terms of fabrics is typically Ghesquiere for Balenciaga. The skirts that look like "porcupine feathers" are seriously amazing.

This feels very modern to me, even if it isn't necessarily speaking volumes in terms of moving fashion forward.

The only thing that bothers me is the shoes! Those kind of shoes make the leg look shorter and do not flatter a lot of women. Perhaps there will be a diffusion of this boot later on during production?

i really love this collection. for me, it is even better than the last season.i am so happy that this season Balenciaga is back to futuristic design. pretty cool!

Is it really a balenciaga show????I can't believe and I can't stand it!
when I became a fashion-fan 3 years ago,I found balenciaga 06FW collection brought me a feeling of awe, injecting my love for paris, for fashion, and of courese for balenciaga.I have been viewed the collections nearly 10 times since then, partly I think it hase been a monement of my fashion memories. Then I came to 07 SS,astonishing as I were, really, because the elegent balenciaga abruptly turned to the "future(which I can't imagine at all)balenciaga",but it was ok.Time goes to 07FW,I was dazed and confused then since I always value the makeup as important as the clothes, but the"half-face-white-makeup"??really not my type, sorrry.however I still found something like the shcool outfits that pleased me a lot.
I can't remember any collections after 07FW,again and agian I keep excited for the shows but viewing the collection with a skeptistic and disappointed mood, now I have said goodbye to my once-favorite brand, however I hope it could back to what it was soon

the skinny inset pants were cool when balenciaga first did them but when so many of newyork designers have aped the same look and topshop has a pair in stores right now , that X factor with Balenciaga dissappears.

Yes, the trousers do look very nice, as does the bracelet (or is it a necklace wrapped around the wrist?), but I think they would have looked a lot better with a black, or grey, T-shirt.

I think that's my main problem with this collection - although it's quite minimal, in a way, there is a bit too much going on (particularly colour-wise) in each look and it distracts from the details.

...and whilst there is a bit too much going on in each look, there is too little going on in the collection, as a whole (i.e. repetition of the rather dull [although, impeccably made], stripey collage pieces).

I think it starts well and ends quite well, but most of the middle section of the collection feels like filler, to me.

:(

Balenciaga was what got me "into" fashion and the last few seasons, for me at least, have been somewhat blah. I am always hoping for the next best thing, but this season is just eh... i have definitely seen this before almost like i'm seeing the fw 08 remix, the lost spring collection or something. I just don't love it and that is really unfortunate.

perhaps details will make me a bit more interested? :-\ I hope so anyway

i just detest the way that people have to wait for it to grow on them out of necessity.....you either like it or you don't, without any external references....waiting to see the general consensus before making their own opinion.......the fashion sheep are bleating...baaaaaaaaaaahh!!!!

"oh i'm just lovin how unoriginal his designs are, but is so original as it's so right now"......
