Mugler S/S 2015 Paris

Love it or hate it; Compare it all you want... this collection will sell like hotcakes. And celebrities are totally gonna wear a lot of pieces from this collection.

-_- This is Versace made to look boring a la Cushnie et Ochs. It's not even very David Koma to. I like his work for his own label and thought he was completely capable of transforming Mugler to an interesting, sexy and relevant brand again. Obviosuly not with this collection yet. I agree that it's very safe, and it lacks identity. Not impressed with this effort.

Spot on. There's nothing Mugler about this. Mugler is about power, structure, strong silhouette. He used to do that very well in London, so I don't really get why he went for this generic ~sexy~ look here. Major disappointment.

lo0ve it! the complex simplicity is nice and the sexiness takes it away from Jil Sander territory

Nicely put, there is nothing "Mugler" about this, I'm happy they chose him since the Clarins group decided the brand had to go on (just let it die and rest in peace). So far it's stale, better than Nicolas and his antics but it could have a bit more of the Mugler DNA. Looking at it's archives one would think it should be easy to bring the brand into the 21st century, before you could spot a Thierry Mugler piece from miles away, you didn't have to see the runway show to remember it from there, you just knew it.
