It's missing a spring vibe to it.... looks more like a fall/winter collection to me with such a warm palette.... And no it does not look like usual bailey..... and to be honest... ...really not liking it at all....... Whatever happened?!
And i thought burberry used to be shown in london no?!
I don't think it was appropriate to strip back on the styling. Like someone said, it is a big part of this brand's runway show.
But, you know..I like the fact that the shapes are getting less generic. And both this and the Marc Jacobs show made me appreciate shantung (or whatever that heavu silk is) again!
I like it, but it's too Italian I think, I see so much Prada/Miu Miu in this that I begin to wonder if Burberry isn't diluting too much when it comes to Prorsum. And my I say: a dash of Viktor&Rolf?
I agree it lacks the usual styling dynamics and lacks certain 'wow pieces' such as the green and purple metallic dresses of S/S 2005. However: a beautiful collection which could do well commercially if it wasn't for the high prices and low production.
Awww--poor Mr. Bailey..I usually love his collections for Burberry, but this time, looks like he struck out...The colors really really turn me off, which is sad, because I think Christopher Bailey has a great sense of color...Definitely not as good as AW '04's collection, and nowhere near as good as his menwear SS '05 collection..Better luck next time..
