Princess Caroline in Florence October 15, 2010 with a visit to the Vasari Corridor. The corridor will be closed from the end of October 2011 for a major restoration work scheduled to last about 3 years. This exclusive aerial way, thought to allow the grand-dukes to move in safety without escorts, from their private residence to the government palace, and was a prestigious reason for the Medici.

A fabulous evening last night in the Palazzo Vecchio to the first "Dance of the Giglio": the Salone was filled with sumptuous tables, red roses and white lilies to host the charity gala organized by the Consulate of the Principality of Monaco Florence, host honor of Princess Caroline of Hanover. After being received by the mayor Matteo Renzi, who was accompanied by his wife Agnes, Princess has signed the record of honor and attended the dinner with 350 selected guests, representing the institutions, entrepreneurship, fashion and aristocracy Florence, among them the Ambassador of Monaco to Italy Philippe Blanche, the superintendent Cristina Acidini, the chief Paolo Padoin, the Chief Zonno Francis, the coach Cesare Prandelli's national soccer team, the designer Ermanno Scervino, Corrado Fratini, Alessandro Bastagli , Marisa Conti Riffeser, Carla Braccialini, Gabriele Poli, Girolamo Guicciardini Strozzi. The evening continued with the lottery and the music of Paolo Belli.
Half of the proceeds of the evening, for the organization of which the City did not claim any cost, will be used to set up a charity fund for the association Amade Italy (World Association of Friends of the Child), which deals with the protection of the rights children and is chaired by Princess Caroline and the other half will go instead to fund the restoration of the statue of Hermes, one of four sculptures from the Roman side of the head placed in the niches of the Salone dei Cinquecento.

I dislike this last dress, and the earrings too.

The earrings were the wrong color for the high-neck collar of her dress. The dress looked like a haute couture costume.
To me, it was more of a glamorous costume that a ball gown, but stylish none the less. She carried it off well, but not everyone could wear that gown.
I am glad to see that the panel over her stomach was not see-through. HAHA

Princess Caroline wore these earrings in March, for a Gala benefit for Haiti. The earrings look better with the simple black tuxedo jacket. Photo credit: Hola magazine
