I guess it's all because of the seemingly endless efforts to differentiate Miu Miu from Prada. But to replace the best stylist in the industry, which I think Olivier Rizzo is, by Katie Grand seems alienating rather than differentiating. She already ruined the image of Bottega Veneta, not that I think BV customers notice anything.

Disagreed. I think Kendall's mysterious, kinda dark beauty fits Miu Miu more than Gigi's plain, puffy face and monotonous expression. But that doesn't mean that i'd want to see either of them there.

Besides, you talk about maintaining the integrity of the brand and that includes neither Kendall nor Gigi. I hope Anita realizes that.

I'd love to see Stella Maxwell walk for Miu Miu again though. She has that high fashion beauty and never sticks out like a sore thumb at any of the shows she walks.

I don't think Miuccia would ever let Kendall or Gigi walk Prada or MiuMiu. She is one of them who doesn't go along with the celebmodel thing for attention.

So let Kendall walk a few of those attentionshows and Gigi can walk Versace, Balmain and stick to printwork.

The casting always seemed more like Brokaw's creation anyway, so I wonder how much involvement Miuccia actually chooses to have or if she mostly "trusts" her CD. Ever since I heard that she isn't invovled in the casting of the campaigns (which may have just been a rumour or misinterpreted interview quote), I've always wondered if that extends to the runway show.

Same here. Somehow I've believed that she was more concerned with Prada casting too. With Brokaw tending to use the same girls in all of the shows that she casts, it just worked out that the casts for both shows were similar.

I also think that Meisel has a strong influence on the casting for Miu Miu campaigns since he shoots some of the same actresses for Vogue Italia. Generally, I think that he wouldn't agree to shoot someone not of his own choosing.

I don't think that's entirely true. Over the last few years there have been models in Prada campaigns that have never worked with Meisel other than that campaign. And that while Meisel is really loyal to his new girls. Look at Amanda, Lexi, Vanessa, Ine, Ophelie etc.

For example: Inga Dezhina, Avery Blanchard, Lineisy, Greta Varlese, Estella, Aya Jones, Adrienne Juliger, most of the S/S 2014 cast and even Mica.

I bet these are Ashley's choices (with influence from Miuccia? Like in Mica's case).

Though i'm sure Meisel did bring some models in like Natalia Vodianova, Ashleigh Good, Cindy Bruna, Gracie Van Gastel etc.

So I guess it's a combination of everyone's influence, even Olivier Rizzo's.
