I think when/if I ever get a huge diamond, I want it around my kneck, not on my finger. I would get a unique cut. I'm fond of asschers because they look so art deco.

I like that I can wear my engagment ring everyday with no trouble. I find it much more beautiful than any single huge showy stone. I do like when celebrities get vintage rings. They are my favorite. (mine is vintage) Looking in the window of Cartier over here, seeing the 5+ carat solitairs just don't thrill me.

I initially wanted a marquise, I loved that cut, but then I thought... it really isnt classic. If youre going to have a ring forever you want to wear it forever. I dont know about you, but my style evovles. Those things have to be taken into consideration.
I knew that in 5 years a marquis would not mesh well with a mature style, so I decided on a princess cut, it is very classic.

Me too. I'd prefer a classic, delicate ring with a medium sized diamond.

shorter you know some before marriage the shorter the marriage lasts. I'm not sure if katie and tom are for real engaged and this isn't all publicity but either way I think they're both acting kinda immature for their ages considering they've both been in serious relationships before. You think they'd learn something.

I'm not sure what your post had to do with mine, hehe. But I agree, you have to pick something that will last for you.

My ring seems eraless to me, it could have been made today, but was made YEARS ago. That is not for everyone though. I've been into vintage things since I was 10 years old!!
