So fake because chanel quilting is more square. Cc's look wrong, and it looks plastic!

Looks it. I think they show photos of that bag on chanel.com. I would compare. Also, be weary. Some people steal photos of other peoples goods. Check feedback, make sure you use a Visa AND paypal AND ebay for tripple $$ protection.

Oh, wait, Nevermind. That is not the same purse on chanel.com. If it is real, it would be something from this spring/summer season. The big cc's were used this season and that gathering. See, this is why I want to own the SA's catalogs. You could find out every variation on a bag. There seems to be alot of them.

I've seen this bag, or at least the authentic version of it in the Paris Chanel stores way back in Feb. However cannot recall if I saw one in camel. There was definitely the light peach or salmon colour one and the pale powdery green one...

Aren't you a guy? There isn't much Chanel homme anyways! (at least they usally don't show it, and it is never ordered up in the boutiques to see! )

I called the Chanel store on Sloane street today to get on the waitinglist, and apperently the store manager have decided to not do anymore waitinglist because it was like 500 people that gets put on waitinglists and people get dissapointed... WTF??

That is life!!!

So what now?? Just leave it up to chance if you get one or not, and he told me to call every single day and then run into the store when they have recieved them. I can't belive that!

Geeze! I think here, we have so many places to find the purses, I don't think the demand is THAT high on every store. (there are 5? NM's in CA, plus at least 2 Chanel boutiques)

Maybe you can waitlist in the USA, then have someone over seas help you buy it? Do you have any close friends on this board you can trust?

I guess you have already tried to call stores in the USA to see if they ship here?!

No, i havent.. thanks for the suggestion, i think the bag he talked about that it was a frenzy for was the "limited edition" red 2.55.

I am going to call some department stores that carry Chanel, they dident even have their Fall catalougue in yet! Is the U.S really that ahead??

Its just a really pain to actually buy something before you see it... what if the measurments arent right ect. you never know..

I guess the US is that far ahead. So far I know that Bergdorf Goodman has some falls bags in already for purchase. Someone else on this board mentioned their Boston Chanel boutique already had its trunk show, and they are wait listing for the Fall 2.55.

Neiman Marcus trunk show is on the 14th of this month. My SA was complaining about it, saying its worthless to do it this early, but the clothing department of NM dictated it. Neiman Marcus only takes American Express or their card. Keep that in mind if you do try to call them up.

Maybe waitlist in the USA prior, but try to see the trunk show at your store? As far as I know, waitlisting isn't a contract. My SA didn't even ask for my credit card # yet. She said a million things can happen between now and when the bag comes in stock, so she doesn't like to take card #'s down.

pucci_mama...since you are in London, you may want to consider Paris..

There are 5 Chanel stores alone from Rue du Fauborg right up to Avenue Montaigne, including the main HQ at Rue Cambon. Try the Rue Cambon and Ave Montaigne stores first. When I was there, the SAs in Rue Cambon was quite helpful but be prepared for the opposite when you deal with them over the telephone... Have fun !!!!!

I want to thank everyone for their helpful information, and to post a picture of my new Chanel! It is the same bag as rhiannonmars, but in black lambskin (thanks for answering my questions ). I think the quilted flap bags are such a great investment, but the classic sizes were always a bit too squarish for my taste. These dimensions are perfect, and so was the price. I am 20 years old and this is my first Chanel bag.

LOL, I only got it yesterday! I really do prefer the look and feel of lambskin over the caviar, but I realize I'll have to be very careful with it. But I'm willing to take care of my new baby.

Do you guys think it will look wierd on a young person like myself?

I'm 23. If you think my red bag looks weird on me, then it is weird. I don't think it does though. I think its youthful. I dress up both in jeans, young n cute. I also work in an office, so it gives a nice touch of elegance to my work outfits. I guess I am baised though. I just love these purses!
