Chanel HC S/S 09 Paris

Okay, am I the only one who was seeing Valentino in a lot of those opening tailored skirt-suits? The boxy neat jacket, the slightly A-line skirts, the floral headpieces and details....

I don't know, I just got a very fussy, Valentino vibe.

I was thinking Valentino, too.

Love the cuts, especially the shoulders and collars.

OMG, I saw this collection in HQ and it's perfection. This is how I expect Karl to do couture. The details are amazing.

This is breath taking beautiful, i love how delicate and precious it looks. All those fantastic hair ornaments will translate in the headbands very well. Thanks so much for posting the Hqs for all of us, its appreciated.

somebody here must find out where similar paper head pieces can be found, the guy looks a bit like Karl.,,,this collection!!!!!!!I love.

I love it, the simplicty and clean lines are refreshing but delicate as well and the headpices are gorgeous.

Such a fantastic collection! :woot: Everything looks so fresh and clean. I love paper headpieces

I love the set design, everything so well crafted. The headpieces delighted. I am drooling over the white skinnies. U hear a chorus and harps. Is this heaven?

This is just beautiful....Karl is the best when it comes to couture. Chanel to be exact. And the presentation, you sure is not about cost-cutting?

^^It is about cost cutting.

To be honest, even though I LOVE Chanel at the Grand Palais, a change in location is nice every once an a while.

oh Karl... this reminds you why I love you! The collection is so beautiful. His recent collections have ranged from mediocre to, frankly, the horrific, but this is just divine. I love the walls, the collection, the casting, the make up, the head pieces, everything! Some of the looks are just so exquisite... :crush:

Thank you to everyone who posted pics

the headpieces are amazing, as well as the setting. some of the OUTFITS however, i'm not loving... like that black and white striped top part of that dress on sasha? not loving it.

overall though, very great collection.

I love this.. it's almost operatic in it's art direction and I think the stark white really captures the feeling of the time... Karl wins again...!!

i'm sure the change of location has nothing to do with the cost of it... because if it's true that there's a bergé-saint laurent exhibition at the grand palais right now, karl decided that it would give him ugly-karma to stage it there

I love this. And I continue to be in awe of Karl because I can't seem to overcome the fact that this was inspired mostly by paper. It looks well-crafted and sharp and mostly clean. I'm in love with the collection!
