Christian Lacroix Haute Couture S/S 09 Paris

Love it. I would love more celebs going for Christian Lacroix when it comes to the biggest red carpet events. But most of the times what we see is so softened, is almost irrecognizable (Dita is the only one that does no or almost no modifications). Hope this time somebody will surprise us. :D

Thanks Nils, I can't give you karma :(

I don't love the collection as a whole. Some dresses are amazing (the sage on Morgane, omg!!) but it doesn't seem coherent to me, it's all over the place!

ok i take back what i've said earlier. apart froma few unfortunate looks, it's really beautiful. nothing really new, but amazing nonetheless

The new pictures are to DIE for! What's not to like?!
I'm definitely not disappointed... I love this collection!

Amazing!!! Loving it!

The most colorful pieces are a bit.. questionable, but i love it!
So Lacroix

I wasn't too pleased until i saw post #44 and the rest of the collection. Beautiful.

The only look that I loathed was the tangerine dress with the large obnoxious bow at the neck. It was a strange silhouette.

I don't like the rainbow dress. Looks like he took scraps from all the other dresses and fashioned it together.

Lately, Lacroix couture has been missing the delicate touch of earlier collections.

i never really get it with Lacroix. there's never been a collection of his that i've really liked, only a few pieces out of an entire collection.

This is to die for. He works colors like no one else. Everything is so rich and sumptuous.

I'm drooling

true couture

Love the coat on Olga!
That is the beautiest piece from this couture.:king:

I'm not really liking it -_- Some pieces are beautiful, but it looks quite boring.

80's prom.

i got the 80s vibe as well. the last look reminded me of madonna so much; it was the jacket.

i loved it mostly though. the dresses seemed a bit more free flowing that what lacroix normally does.

I really, really, really adore this dress. The pouf-style skirt is so adorable (I love how it stands with the elaborate design) and how beautiful and ornate the flower is on her shoulder. The bride is beautiful (I even love the letters on her dress) and it is so so magnificent. I could just die right now, so so gorgeous. <3:cry:

Ok, the straight on evening dresses are absolutely magnificent...he's gonna do excellent with those during the red carpet season.

But I really wish he would learn to sometimes put the break on and remove things. It's not always necessary to add a flower broche, a bow, an arm filled with bracelets or 16 different colors to one inch of fabric. Some of the creations are just fine as they are and do not need all the hooha.
