Chelsy the chav: Prince Harry's girlfriend pictured wearing a baseball cap, tracksuit and tasteless jewellery

When the girlfriend of the third in line to the Throne dons her party finery, you might expect the understated glamour of the most exclusive haute couture labels.
But that’s not Chelsy Davy’s style - as these pictures clearly show.
Prince Harry’s girlfriend decided to send up her image at a recent party, wearing the stereotypical uniform of the chav: a baseball cap turned to the side, a white Adidas tracksuit jacket and plenty of ‘bling’ jewellery - including gold hoop earrings.

These photographs, posted on a public website, were taken at a themed fancy-dress bash in London a fortnight ago.
In one picture, Chelsy poses next to her Leeds University pal Sophie Sweetman, who has a pillow stuffed up her T-shirt to mock the chavs’ reputation for teenage pregnancies.
A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘The party was to celebrate getting through the first year of university and getting ready to start the next.’
Although she is heiress to a multi-million-pound fortune, Chelsy has been dubbed Princess Chav, in derogatory reference to her brash dress sense and party-loving behaviour, which have sometimes been considered vulgar.
But these pictures - posted anonymously on a royal gossip website - clearly show that the 22-year-old is untroubled by such criticisms.
The chav party was just one of several nights out Chelsy has enjoyed in the three weeks since she returned to London from her native South Africa, where she spent the first two months of her summer vacation.

She is said to have returned to the UK to complete some coursework before embarking on the final year of her postgraduate degree in law and politics at Leeds University.
But despite having work to do before term starts at the end of the month, Chelsy has been no stranger to partying.
She attended the Notting Hill Carnival at the end of August, and she was spotted drinking with friends in Fulham last week.
On Thursday night, Chelsy and Harry were out with Princess Eugenie at their favourite London nightclub, Boujis in Kensington, until the early hours.

However, the Royal couple emerged looking glum.
Generally, 23-year-old Harry has been keeping a low profile this summer following a number of conversations with his grandfather, The Duke of Edinburgh, in which he promised to tame his party lifestyle and focus on his military career.
‘Harry has been lying low, but Chels has been having lots of fun,’ a friend of the couple said last night.
‘She hasn’t really seen much of Harry this summer but that hasn’t bothered her.
'Chels has had a great time catching up with all her mates back at home.
‘She wasn’t happy about having to come back to the UK to study, but she did not let it get in the way of having a couple of really good parties.’
