Boy am I confused with this collection. It's so incoherent. The styling is an overkill. Who styled it? Way too much going on. What a mess.

I knew what to expect when clicking the thread, but it's better than I initially thought. It's similar to the previous Fall collections, although immediately I prefer this. I agree with whoever said the styling was highlighting the show. Towards the end the pieces start to come through, I love the entire look of Alla's and Toni's outfit. Sigrid's dress was gorgeous too, I'm a sucker for sheer and lace.

Oh well it was revenge onto Dior to show such a mishap of a collection; it seemed that John was falling apart at the time and it showed. Besides the brand is Dior and it's their's to keep and maintain John and is gone and this show is none of his business.

i don't know, I don't feel that it was all that bad. I mean I feel like we all had these outrageous expectations because of everything that's happened in the last few days. but then again, it's Dior and it should be amazing.
I completely agree with everyone that the styling was off. however, If you look at the pieces individually, which is how they would be worn anyways, they are, for the most part really great. But I think there were just so many and they needed to seriously EDIT! That's one of the biggest rules! Having too much can ruin a collection and that's what happened here.
The layering could still have been done since it was appropriate for a fall line but it needed restraint. everything looked like it was thrown together in a desperate act to just get it all on the runway.

I did like the shoes and felt that they did get even better as the show went on. The dresses to me, are nothing groundbreaking but they were still absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed seeing them.

All in all, I think there were some amazing pieces in this collection, so i guess we just have to take what we can get lol. unfortunately we won't be able to see if Galliano would have done a better job next season.

But it will be very interesting to know what will come next season!!

The styling definitely ruined things. It doesn't look like Dior. There's no magic. The clothes were amazing but during the past even though the clothes were wearable it doesn't look like it because of the make-up and the styling. *sigh*

I like the boots, fur jacket on Karolina K. & some of the dresses at the end. It's not THAT bad...
But, in general, lots of copy - paste pieces, no magic, no drama...

This is a historical show only because is Galliano's last, these clothes doesn't reflect the geniosity of Galliano at all, actually I think since his F/W 07.08 Couture collection Galiano hasn't done anything really amazing, is always the same old Hollywood glamour. I do agree that selling clothes is important for a brand but I think the concept of a collection should always be put in the first place, it's a pity that in the last three years the creativity of John was repressed by LVHM.
I'm really sad that he is leaving because I loved he work he did in the past for the maison and because I had the hope that sometime in the future he would take Dior back to the madness that we loved in the early 2000's.

Galliano is nothing if not a romantic, I think this was the most fitting way for a man as poetic as he to go. Such a modern scandal, the drama of court hearings and paparazzi, and the final two fingers and the bourgeoisie establishment so evident in this collection. As f****d up as it sounds its this kind of drama that runs through the veins of a man like John, and I bet in years to come this experience will once again play out on the runways and we will welcome back our beloved with open arms.

Looks like a skewed Dior Pre-Fall 2011 collection with some inspiration from Galliano's last couture collection. The styling killed it but some of the pieces were beautiful nonetheless.

Must see this in movement.

Some of this is very good. In general, it seems that he has partially merged the mid 70s with the classic Dior silhouette. Of course, a few looks are imperfect, though.
