Concealer

i use artdeco perfect teint concealer and i love it. i don't like foundation, so i only use concealer under my eyes & on spots. as my skin is quite fair i always have trouble with finding the right colour but this one works really well/ doesn't leave any spots behind + it's cheap.

If you suffer from redness you should tackle it as well as covering it up with concealers :flower:
Have you tried any anti inflametry products / products for roseaca (don't know if I spelled that right!!). Invest in good quality skincare / drink lots of water / eat well etc.
Back to the concealer, if it's looking cakey perhaps you are using too much? There is a really good concealer by Becca, haven't tried it but have heard so many fantastic reviews.

Well, I never used to wear any make up at all, but then I had a hormone coil fitted because I have endometriosis, and suddenly I was spotty, greasy and dry, and red with massive pores. I use a clinique cream for rosacea, but nothing seems to make any difference, my skin tone is just horribly uneven, and because I'm pale it's even more noticeable. I shall endeavour to drink more water and eat less chocolate.

I love chocolate though!

You are joking! Just yesterday I went to clinique and bought the whole skincare range for spots because they convinced me Eve Lom was making my skin bad! Why is Clinique so bad?

It's way to harsh. My skin care lady used it to clean her tub, I've heard some of their stuff even doubles as nail polish remover  I've had severe allergic reactions to Clinique products.

Well, I spent tons of money on it yesterday, and today my skin is peeling. Great. I can't even take it back because it's miles away and I don't have the time. I'm sure people have told me its helped them...I wish I'd saved up for more Eve Lom now.

They sell products, of course they tell you it works...damn Clinique folks.

I only use concealer around my nostrils, damn broken capillaries. I'm always red around my nostrils  But i do love Helena Rubinstein's Magic Concealer, it doesn't clog pores too bad.

Can you use foundation insted of concealer ? I've never seen the point by using a concealer.

Foundation doesn't have enough coverage. Good luck with covering my dark circles with foundation

i use Lancome Maquicomplet. it's yellow based so it's great for combating dark circles.

Me as well! I ended up with red spots (not zits-this was like a rash) on my face. Not nice.

I'm thinking of trying the Lancome Maquicomplet. What shade should I get for undereye circles? I have fair skin.

Hi,

I tried a variety of concealers and foundation under my eyes to conceal my dark circles but it always ends up looking gray. I always think I looked better before - which is bad.

I have a ton of weddings coming up and I don't know how to cover up properly looking as natural as possible. My complexion is close to C35 on the MAC website.

Any advice? I really need it.

might need more yellow to tone down the blueness of undereyes. something like that but im not sure...

I like Lancome Effarneces for undereye circles and MUFE full cover for occasional blemishes and redness.

Boots ! Its a foundation pen, hides well and very light so if i need to put just a bit it covers and if i need more, i does not show. and the price is good also for a great concealer.

Help me someone. I have all sorts of concealers, Mac studio fix, Prescriptives, bobbi brown, laura mercier secret camoflage, and I just get it wrong! I put it on with a brush, it cakes and looks awful or just comes off, regardless of what I try to do. Are you meant to do it before or after foundation? I now use Mac Select Coverup before foundation and other concealer after. I hate my skin, it's not that I'm very spotty, I just have broken capillaries and so much redness.

hi there!
just alittle note about your concealer... first of all you should use a concealer in a green tone, to neutralize the redness, after that apply the foundation. don't worry you wont look green :flower:

I just tried the Bobbi Brown Corrector and then their Creamy Concealer (for dark under eye circles).

The Corrector has a pink or peach shade (peach for olive skin tones, pink for the rest of us :D), and I think all their concealers are yellow-based. The Corrector cancels out the blue in the dark circles, but it doesn't provide much coverage. Then you dab on the Creamy Concealer on top of the Corrector (don't blend them together!) for coverage.

It's very important that your concealer ISN'T lighter that your skin tone - look at Kim Kardashians thread. Her concealer is too light, and she looks like a raccoon. Your concealer has to be your exact skin tone for this to work, and it has to be yellow-based.

I must say that my under eye area has never looked this good. The Bobbi Brown girl (she has my eternal love and gratitude) tried out different combinations on me, and we ended up with a corrector and a concealer that both were darker than we thought they should be. But that just goes to show how important it is to try these things out before you buy them

And the best thing for me is that the corrector + concealer doesn't show up when I take pics with flash! MAC's Studio Finish makes me look like a Kardashian (or raccoon if you will). This REALLY works. We matched the corrector + concealer to my bare face, I wasn't wearing foundation.

Flash vs. daylight

I look a bit tired

Well, I got the Corrector and I'd kill for the Creamy Concealer...they cost twice as much in DK asin the US, so they're pretty expensive.
