Other than school, Dakota has been focusing on her new project called “The Motel Life” also starring Emilie Hirsch.
In the flick, Fanning plays Annie James, who gets involved with two brothers who are involved in a hit and run accident.

Kicking off her day, Dakota Fanning was spotted walking to her high school in Los Angeles this morning (May 12).
The “I Am Sam” actress looked lovely in a green army jacket with a scarf, skirt, and a pair of sexy thigh high stockings.

Since Dakota has been pretty classy up till this point I'm going to choose to believe the paps, as they often do, got the location wrong.

Not that that makes it much better.

Well I also think that the paps got the location wrong since it would be quite strange to go to school dressed in this way.Well I don't know how things in LA are but if i went like this to my school I would be expelled or something But overall her outfit is quite nice for a day out ,minus the stockings

I was watching an old interview with Dakota from like 2003. She was really young (and adorable) and she still had this same hairstyle.
I wonder if she doesn't like her ears or something?

I was looking at a few older candids, and judging by her bags and the background, I think she is heading to school.

Seriously, if I walked into school wearing those stockings, I'd be sent home to change my outfit. And my school can be pretty chill when it comes to dressing.

She usually wears great jeans!! I don't like her platform shoes but her jeans and her knitted shirt (??don't know what it's called in english) look LOVELY !!!

As for her latest school outfit, who knows what's going on. She's young, maybe she has a crush on someone she wants to impress or she has a group of girlfriends that just go through a phase of dressing like that . Or she hates school and wants to rebel in some way. There could be a thousand reasons, but in general she doesn't seem to be the type to dress too sl*tty or anything.

Wow can't believe she was on Oprah's last show! But seriously, she needs to wear some new colours. The nudes wash her out SO much. I would love to see a bright red or blue or something with some colour!
