that man to bride number seems like thoroughly confused adolescent gender critique. but the runway shows are spectacular.

I loved that too! I saw this a while back! SOOOOOOOO Interesting! Very very interesting. I wish I was on that set!

the bridegroom stripped bare- it's more or less an actual project that the fiber students at my school do as an introductory project... they start with a mens outfit and transform it into a womanswear outfit. half the people in the class I TA'd did a groom into a bride. using paint. and tape. so not all the original.

I didn't think it was that great, i think i was just expecting the bride to look like a bride by the end.

McQueen is disturbed...no question....but it's that esoteric nature that makes him so interesting. Somehow,I feel in the last few years he's been ever-so inspired by Belgian fashion and the nature of which they're inspired. The fact that he's made mention that his expression is much more emotionally derivitive than it being just about show. He's garnered alot of respect out of me.

Oh and,so what if this is close to being that of student work...perhaps he wanted to channel these days when designers could be wholey free in their creativity? I mean,it is just a mere experiment anyway.

I guess to be a story teller, to allow your mind to travel like that, you have to be like a cursed poet. Experienced something in your life, that allows one to leave their troubles through escapism. I sound like a f*cking therapist but I think you can't get to that stage of creativity, if your life has been perfect.

As for it being student like, what's wrong with that. College is the one time where we are free to do as we please. You don't have to like McQueen but I think he deserves respect. He doesn't chuck out crap every season so people like Paris Hilton can get excited. It's obvious that he's lived and breathed the collection for the past months, when it's put on the runway.
