Dior Homme by Hedi Slimane (2000-2007)

Haha, I stand corrected Winston. I checked my napoleon and you're right. I think what threw me off was that I've never looked at the zipper sans the pull cord with the Dior Homme clip on it. I had never seen an item in that zipper style without the pulls.

Once again, you're a wealth of Dior information!

Too bad these current collections don't hold the complexity/mystique that early collections did. I'm wondering what next fall's style will be! Less color, more black! hahahaha

I placed an order for the gold boots last month, but I guess they didn't get much in from the shipment or something? :S anyone know if there are any stores with the gold boots in 10.5?

So, which one of you is going to win this baby on Ebay?! It's gorgeous.

Yeah, that's a sweet jacket, but not even a day up and it's already past $500 (and reserve's not even met).

I just got this blazer off Ebay, anybody know what season it's from?

Anybody got some Dior Dry denim from SS05 (japanese version). Mine are surprisingly soft which is surprising because dry denim is usually stiffer, I was just wondering if this is standard for all DH dry denim jeans...

yeah man DH raw denims are softer than a lot of other raw denims out there...that's why I was in for a shock when I tried those APC's, didn't expect 'em to be THAT stiff.

LOL when the guy said Thief collection, maybe he might've meant or hinted that the piece he was selling was stolen! :D

Two explanations I can think off:

1)DH dry are made from very light denim which makes them softer

2)Some companies actually wash their "dry" jeans once before selling them to remove the stiffness which might initially repell some customers.

DH is not a "denimhead" company anyway and their jeans aren't aimed at the fanatics who object to non-selvedge and one wash jeans.

Here's something I posted on another forum but might be appropriate here for people looking for measurements:

Dior Homme dry indigo SS05 (made in Japan version)

tag: size29

waist: 30"
front rise: 9.5"
back rise: 14"
inseam: 38"
leg opening-crotch: 10.5"
leg opening-knee: 8.25"
leg opening-bottom: 6.6" (this version is the 17CM, DH leg opening usually comes in 21/19/17 CM)

These are, surprisingly, extremely comfortable. The denim is very soft and light and fits snugly without being too tight in any area. I’d say my new standard size 28 were quite tighter when I got them but this might be because APCs are a lot stiffer. The jeans are classic right-hand twill non-selvedge and the denim is probably from Japan (since they were made there…), it’s also marginally darker than other dry denim jeans I saw. I like wearing my jeans pretty low and these were made with this idea in mind which kinda helps. The construction is excellent, especially the inside of front pockets, which are now my favorite jeans pockets. The detailing is very discrete as the only distinguishing mark is the Dior dart on the back pockets. All in all pretty good jeans if you’re very slim, otherwise I’d stay far far away, you’ll easily end up looking like a sausage in these. The 21CM cut looks better on most people anyway if you really want to get some DH.

wooot... i didn't know, until now, that there was 17cm ... thought only there were 19 and 21

Well some 19CM are actually 17CM and people starting referring to them as 17CM...don't think it's official....

Yeah, it's basically the 19cm cut but scaled down for smaller sizes so that it ends up having a 17 cm hem.

yes like a size 27 or 28 in a 19cm cut will obviously have a smaller hemm then 19cm.

Good purchase my friend. I was considering a bid. I already own that blazer, but doubling up never hurts eh? Glad you got it though!

It's a Reflection piece if I remember my serial numbers correctly.

I never recall seeing that picture on eBay? What size was it and what time did it end? The blazer looks very clean cut and slender :woot:
