DH sneaks

hello all! this is my first time here. anyways, i wud really appreciate some help here. i am dying to own a pair of DH sneakers and the only ones i really really love is the pair from the auction below. however, my feet are like really small, (US7) and its really hard to find a pair. anyways, i think the sneakers are from the Votc collection, i am not sure.
i hope someone here will be able to hook me up with a pair. i dont mind if its been used, lightly i hope. i do not really want to buy it from yahoo auctions in hongkong as most of them do not have paypal or they do not ship out of HK. anyway, the prices of their auctions are really MAD. they charge r*pe prices for their stuff. eg a pair of neighborhood savage jeans from 03 can go for $1200??? madness. hopefully someone can help me out here!

cheers for your help. spread the love.

so one side of the metal waist hook on my orange overdye jeans came apart...specifically the right side, the side receiving the hook.

anyone had this happened to them before? if i bring this to the DH store, do you think they can/will get it fixed? although i still have the metal piece that came apart, it's of no use now...it'll need to be replaced.

sorry, i do not have any pictures of the fall version. i did just got off the phone with a sales person from Harrods London. he told me that the color of the fall orange overdyes are 'redder' than from the previous season. is this true?

by the way, how much are the orange overdyes in London?

I think the 'redder' orange overdyes the sales person was referring to are the ones with the zipper on the back pocket, they are sold at Browns' online store at brownsfashion.com as well, and the price is 275 GBP. I'm guessing these are the signature jeans for F/W 05-06?

It's weird that the yellow-ish orange overdye jeans haven't been spotted anywhere else except Hong Kong...they have the distressed hole in the coin pocket, as Albert mentioned, but the other details sound different. Weird.

Hmm...that's really weird, never happened to any of my DH jeans before. I have always STRONGLY disliked the fact that they use the metal hook instead of the standard button...on my raw denim jeans which are a size big, any time i tighten my belt, the metal hook tends to come undone by itself and i constantly have to readjust it or else the waist starts sagging down, creating an unpleasant bulge in the crotch area. For some reason I have a feeling that any discomfort in the waist due to adjusting the belt for fixing size irregularities is due to that metal hook. I have some Levi's, G-Star jeans that are even larger in the waist than my Diors and when I tighten the belt I never get these problems. sigh dior jeans are such a pain in the ***, but i think i'm gonna continue buying them i can't stop :(

By the way, just a question for you DH-jeans wearers out there...how low do you wear your 21 cm jeans? The picture on the Eluxury model wearing the overdyes makes it seem like he's wearing them VERY low...i seem to get that effect after the jeans have stretched out and the standard belt hole can't hold them that tight, so i tried tightening the belt one more hole and then it feels too suffocating in the waist. I'm pretty sure I got the right size as one size down i wasn't getting the straight leg fit any more.

I think these will answer most peoples questions....

Matt, I wear the 31's and I think just naturally they end up sitting sliiiggghhhhtttly lower than my other jeans. Not to the point that they're "sagging", but fitted/loose if that makes any sense. When I was wearing the 32s with a belt, I'd get that same unhooking going on that got to be quite obnoxious. On my current pairs of 31s that fit me perfectly I can wear a belt without that issue (ie- the belt serves as decoration and prevents the waist from excessively stretching out... doesn't help hold the pants up)

I went down a size because I just didn't like them so baggy. That same pouch-y crotch phenomenon was the biggest issue for me. It just looked so ugly and weird.

thanks for the pix.

one question...i went to Saks this afternoon to try on a pair of the fall 05 orange overdyes...looks exactly like your pix...i even took down the numbers on the tag.

but the tag on the pair i tried reads 5HH1015420 475 B604. whereas yours begins with 5SH.....

what's the difference?

Thanks for the pics Albert.

I wonder how many different styles of the orange overdye jeans are out there right now...the ones you posted are new to my eye, that means there must be 3 variations of this theme in the jeans this season, 4 if you include the ones carried over from S/S!!! Crazy...

Yeah when i wear the belt it seems to serve the same purpose, so it sounds like this is the way the jeans are supposed to be worn! Thanks a lot for the info, as this issue has been haunting me for months!

5SH is Spring/Summer 2005

5HH is Autumn/Winter 2005

now i'm confused...i read somewhere that EH refers to the SS collection whereas HH refers to the AW collection.

i bought a pair of orange overdyes from SS05, and it was 5EH....

hmmm....

Arthur, I think Saks just carried them over without changing the tags. They're notorious for keeping random things (including the pink jeans... i mean, wtf) and selling them the next season.

*edit*
Hmm, now I'm all confused with the numbering! Man... it used to be so simple with only EH and HH to deal with!

Hmm...i think both 5SH and 5HH are the prefixes for the Fall/Winter collection, as the Spring/Summer code was 5EH. I think it just varies depending on what store you go to, but as long as the numeric code is the same, I'm pretty sure it's the same item.

the jeans that Chinor1z took pictures of are quite definitely from Fall05. so 5SH could not possibly refer to SS05.

the orange overdyes from SS05 have the scratches on the left side, whereas those from Fall05 have them on the right, together with the additional distressed/damaged coin pocket.

i'm positive that the pair i tried on at Saks is from Fall 05.

the scratches on the SS05 orange overdyes are on the left side, and these ones i tried on have them on the right side.

To add to the confusion, my SS05 orange overdyes have scratches on BOTH sides.

edit: nevermind i just realized you're talking about the hip and not the scratches on the belt line. Then yeah mine are on the left. Disregard the message.

Chinor1z...where did you get your pair of orange overdyes from...which country?

These were from Japan.
Thanks, I thought I was going crazy with the numbering system. I knew these were current season, but the numbering threw me off!
