Dior Homme Mens F/W 08.09 Paris

hmmm somethings are good other things i could do without. i am getting a vampire feel from the white make up and the fitted shirts and such, very dior homme though.. will be interesting to see how this looks off the runway

My first impressions:

There's no coherency in this at all. We go from his hammer pants of last season straight to some unflattering super-tight in another look. In some looks there's a clerical high collar, and in others there's no collar whatsoever. And is anyone else seeing the logo belt buckles?

some nice pieces, like the last jacket ilaughead posted, as well as the hooded knit and sequined blouson (which looks quite similar to something hedi did for a/w 06). hammer pants are repugnant, and the cut of most of the outfits is a bit unflattering. a good sophmore effort though...

oh, and the return of the dreaded 'CD' belts...

well,i can certainly tell where he put much of his efforts this season. a pretty terrible van assche collection and a stronger dior homme. honestly,i don't really see hedi in this. seems pretty much like van assche to me. it's definitely tailored but at least there is some margin unlike slimane. and the detail is very much to his advantage.

Okay Ive been staring at that studded jacket for awhile and it reminds me so much of the Christian Louboutin studded boots.

I like this more than I would have initially thought (especially after seeing KVA's own F/W collection).
I definitely get a big vampire vibe from this; The pale faces, hair pulled back, dark brooding colors, it comes together quite nicely.

I agree with a lot of you. I dont feel any one theme or inspiration that ties everything together. I also think the casting was better last season. Dior Homme on average models is just not right!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think the moody monestaray effect is quite sexy. blixa bargeld sexy. to me this is a sexier dior homme rather than that overrated little boy in the band stick thin image.
