so i saw the 24,000 dollar jacket today, and it was stashed away in the closet, was in on the floor bartholemeow? it was wrapped in a plastic and in a special gray garment bag. i was gonna take a pic but they said no, if andy was there he woulda let me shoot. anyways the multi colored flowers are made with multiple sequence in a circular shape. also there are long beads shaped like rice and in pearl color in between all the flower sequence which is hard to see on the runway. the pearl beads actually look like little maggots. the jackets beads are overwhelming i can see why they are asking 24,000 for it. also the bottom hemm and cuffs are made out of the same material used on the pearl sweaters, that fluffy fuzzy wool.

The jacket was all wrapped up in the closet and I had Paul, the manager, show it to me. I was also privy to all of the S/S '06 collection bought by the store, including pricepoints. The destroyed jeans (rumored to be over $700) are only going to be $550 and there's going to be silver and gold denim as well, which I think will be $450. It also looks like the graphics from the show's invitation will become t-shirt graphics. There's also going to be this amazing harrington jacket with a sequined plaid-esque lining (kind of a glamorous take on the plaid linings of classic skinhead harringtons). A LOT of the shoes from the collection were also bought; including the repettos and the mary janes, neither of which I'm crazy about, but we'll see come November, when the collection slowly comes in.

^ yea i had paul show me the jacket also, however the pre orders start in november, and SS 06 definately aint comin in november. im gonna get ont he list for some of the waist coats and possibly those destroyed jeans, i just hope the thighs arent huge like this seasons jeans. Hedi also wore the SS 06 graphic t shirt a long time ago, it looks pretty cool something ill probably pick up.

funny note about the 24k jacket. Peter(SA) put it on and pranced around in it, and was making comments/jokes like "what if i walked into mcdonalds with this jacket on and was like Can I have a BIG N TASTY" haha so funny...

also forgot to mention they received the puff vest thats inthe ad campaign, its 1,400 something, totally not worth it!

Albert, you honestly should start a (small) business replicating the blood wound shirt for people. Someone sends you a shirt, you add the "blood", charge a very fair (to yourself, of course!) commision and send the shirt back. I'd take you up on it for sure =p

Also, what are the S/S 06 Invitation graphics? Curious to see what the tees will look like. Can't wait for the gold denim to come out...

hahah that's ridiculous. I'm totally gonna check it out tomororw, I wonder how many people have come in asking to see it.

And the graphic on the shirt, is that the "boy about town" thing? I really like that one (though I still for some reason am drawn to the the end shirts)

HAHAHAHA! That is why Peter is awesome:D !!!

the destroyed jeans are the signature jeans from Strip.

Note that there were two styles put out during Strip and slightly before.

The early issue (put out while luster was still in stores if I remember correctly) destroyed jeans were very clearly coated thinner black denim while the later issue jeans put out during Strip proper had a heavier coat on them. They were shinier.

Having seen both (and now owning the early issue), I really do like the early issue ones better because they're more wearable in my opinion.
But both are seriously nice!

Albert, the new destroyed jeans which is a part of ss06, not the old ones :)

I believe they're the reissue of the old ones though. As far as I know, they'll be identical... unless I'm totally off here hahaha

I always believed it was these. (Which IMHO looks crap)

it may look like crap to you,but id have to say that it totally goes with the collection and the styling of it all. plus they wont be that short, which was evident with fw 05. i hope that fabric belt in the picture above will be avilable for purchase ive been wanting something like that for a while.

The black on black version of the "michael jackson" jacket is much better and more wearable in my opinion. Its a piece I'm really eyeing.

The inseam is going to be the standard 36", as you said. I really like those jeans though; not only do they fit the collection's aesthetic, I think they're really nicely distressed/destroyed jeans. Granted, we'll have to see once they hit stores, but they look really nice and the denim swatch I saw was pretty thick and the wash is great.

And Edk, why don't you make your own fabric belt? I'm sure it's no harder than cutting up a cotton t-shirt or whatever fabric you want. I mean, I'm sure you'll be able to buy it in the store for close to $200, but for something like that (if it is indeed no more than a piece of cloth) don't you think you could do it yourself?

Ah, those are the destroyed jeans then? I wonder if it's going to be that as well as a reissue of the Strip jeans (I really thought people had mentioned that either on here or on MSN)... They do have some potential, although I hope the wash is a little darker. I think the longer, regular inseam will provide an almost wholly different (and better) look too.

Mouko, is there a photo of the all-black version of that coat? Also, does anyone have a price point on it? God, I bet it is absolutely out of this world pricey though since it was probably the most complex piece of the collection:doh:

I can't wait to see what's in store next winter. Maybe Hedi will sink into a deep, dark, black, depression *hint* *hint* hedi!

Albert,

I pre-ordered that coat......... B) the black on black..

after seeing a close up detailed picture of the coat.. I was

Although slightly different (much like the all black Napoleon and the gold fringed Napoleon), this is the black one:

Though i've no idea if there's an identical version of that red/gold one, but in black. I believe Tricotineacetat/Jost had already ordered one for himself.

The destroyed jeans looks like your average ripped Levi's. Yes I am exaggerating but you know I'm still right. And yes, I believe you guys that the retail versjion is/will be a little different

I think Jost mentioned the price of those jackets in another thread, surely he could answer. It is far from being the most complex piece, that's for sure:)
