Actually I think Hong Kong these days is more Japanese influenced...everywhere I go on the street, in one block I will run into at least 1-2 people wearing either Comme des Garcons Play/Undercover/Bape/Junya Watanabe t-shirt...and the problem is they do not fit the image/style of those brands at all, it's like they just bought those items so they have a status symbol that tells people they are "in."
European high fashion is discussed in magazines, especially Dior Homme, but I do not see many people wear that stuff on the street. I have seen 2 people wear Dior Homme in Hong Kong this summer, one was a 50 year old guy wearing the black whiskered jeans, another was a total fashion victim kid, probably no older than 21, who was wearing a "YSL" logo t-shirt and the blue lurex jeans of S/S 05. Terrible.
