Small question about DH dry denim (japanese, selvedge if that helps), how is the sizing for the 19CM considering these will stretch? Would you size up/down/stay the same?

Chinor1z, bring a dh dress shirt that you have to a HK tailor (pick up a nice one like wwchan or Jantzen) and have him make a copy then use that for your project. It'll cost you like 50-75USD.

Thanks, unfortunately I am in Boston, MA... no trips to HK for me anytime soon hahaha.

I'll see if I can find a local tailor to custom make a shirt for me. May not be cheap though, custom shirts here in the US aren't as cheap as India/HK/China unfortunately!

The two tailors I mentionned have online marketplaces, you can send a shirt by mail and they'll copy it. You'll get your shirt with your order. You could also see them during one of their us tours, I know WWChan goes to NY often....

Yoox had them, but they are all sold out....$160 too
If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure those weren't the s/s 05 white jeans.

Oh yeah, and I did have a pair in 28 a few months ago. I sold them because they fit kinda baggy; I was expecting the fit of the black canvas jeans. If you want the look of that runway picture, you'd have to find them in 27 or 26. And good luck with that. ;)

I have the pink ones which I think came in the same canvas, they are VERY sturdy cotton and won´t stretch at all, thus it´s no use going down too small if you can´t close the button properly. Believe me, I tried but the buttons broke twice with me and yeah, the leg just isn´t as tight as seen on the runway. I still have mine repaired but I seriously consider asking the tailor to make the legs a bit narrower for me, that´s what they do for the runway, at least ... :innocent:

^ jost yes my white ones which is made out of the same canvas is very sturdy also, I dont think they will ever stretch at all which is good because they are a lot tighter around the thighs then the blue jeans. However like Alex said they are no way near the tightness of the black gabardine pants. Unlike the SS 05 orange overdyes which feels like it has a blend of spandex in it. I wore the white ones in what are you wearing today thread.

That´s because the overdyes are broken twill, which is more loosely woven than gabardine or canvas. You can either live with the fact that they are becoming sort of a baggy, anti-fit shape or you have to wash them more often so that they shrink to the original state.

I have normally never been a big fan of Stretched denim, but I have got a pair of ACNE that are very strong canvas, yet slightly stretch so they will still stay in shape if you wear them. Needless to say, they are the tightest I have but at the same time, the most comfy ones as well.

does anybody else have the white wallet which ain't white anymore?
i've been shoving it in my back pocket whenever i wore the white jeans, since i was a bit paranoid of the color change --until..., 2 weeks ago. i started to get annoyed of switching wallets according to the pants i would wear each day so i just used(?) it no matter which pants or jeans i'd wear...since the white wallet is f*ckin' gorgeous~ agree? unfortunately, the color is sky blue now. ugh.

DAMN, i should've stayed being paranoid!

That´s exactly why I am so satisfied with my bronze-metallic, snake printed Helmut Lang wallet... it always stays in the same shape and colour, no matter where yo put it, and it has that very distinct colour that I adore... just like the bronze suit in the Luster collection ...

Don't worry Jun, it happened to my wallet as well.

I've been carrying the "white" plisse for about a year and a half now and not only are some parts somewhat blue, one section is starting to yellow a little and the patent leather finish (the shiny finish) is wearing off of it. But hey, I love it. Most of the time people don't notice that it's a bit off-color and if you're out at night or in a darkened bar/restaurant, it looks white.

I get a lot of compliments and/or remarks about carrying a white wallet. I think it's fine. I bought another dior wallet on bluefly a month ago, but I couldn't bring myself to switch. Thus, I sold it and am still carrying my white one. The day that it wears out completely, I think I may just buy it again:D

Great work on the blood wound shirt, drexl. I'm tempted to follow up with one of my own...but since i don't have the skill, ability or patience to do anything like that, might ask a tailor when I get back to HK.

bartholomew it was cool to meet you today man, clean up that bag! :D

...although this is a tad off subject from dior homme... here are some pics of London Birth of a Cult by Hedi Slimane

...Mods feel free to move this if you find it better suited for a different thread :)

Thanks for posting the pics. I am still not excited by Pete Doherty and probably never will, so I guess I cannot appreciate this book too much...

I was given 'Stage' as a gift last Valentines and it's absolutely stunning but i'm not too sure whether i would buy a book purely focused on Pete Doherty alone!

I have the book "Berlin", quite nice, I would buy "Stage" but pricey, still interesting though. Dont think I'll buy this book entirely about Pete... dont see the fascination.
