Yeah the color is too bright too. If it were a deeper, darker purple/cranberry it would be really sweet.

oh, the one he's wearing is the purple? I thought that was a red version :(

I saw the purple, and the color just wasn't dark like it appeared on the runway :(

^ that coat didnt come in red or purple, ur thinking of the same one for both colors. the actual color is cranberry which has hints of red and purple depending on lighting. barneys has it, and its horrible. that being said, orlando bloom pulls it off pretty well.

Yeah it seems like this is the pattern of this season. Things look good in photos and/or on the runway and just crap in stores.

The cranberry coat would have been awesome if it was a couple of shades darker.

this was most apparent with the brown leather jacket with the western style pockets in the front(one on eluxury). it looked pretty sweet on the runway and even ont he eluxury pics. even the guys at the dior store said they were shocked at how ugly the actual production piece was. and im sure a lot of the buyers were pissed off with how it turned out.

black cords

hi all
just bought some of the distressed black cords and am just wondering what the ideal leg length would be. should they be worn as long and as bunched as the jeans?
thanks

i heart dior homme, i REALLY want one of the skull caps that was featured on the F/W 05/06 runway, ooohhh and one of those friggin cute *** sweaters, the ski style ones. I would deff splurge for one of those.

i'd say it depends on how tall you are.

if you're 6 feet, keep em full length! Or at most take a couple inches off. The bunching is key. I made the mistake of hemming a lot of my dior jeans early on (yeah... 3 pairs ouch!) and regretted it ever since.

Don't make the same mistake!

thanks chinor1z
i am only 5.9 so i reckon i'll need about 4 inches off. i got my black jeans hemmed and i think i took too much off - as they don't bunch very well.

Screw that. I could maybe imagine hemming jeans. MAYBE. But not really. Haha. But the way cords fall, I don't see any reason at all. Just say no to hemming DH jeans/cords unless you're like 5'2".

The copat you were discussing earlier was available at the New York boutique mid-August. It was muuuuch more of a deep purple than red...I think maybe the lighting is off...

Hey PF,
Where did you get the black cord? And re hemming, if you're 5'9 I would definitely shorten the pants, though not shorter than a 34 inseam for sure.

Alex you have a point. You bunch them by hand anyway and what's a couple of extra folds?

just bought cords on BIN on e-bay. haven't got them yet, but will have a good look before i decide to re-hem or not.

Any of our UK TV viewers see Robbie Williams in his nice blue DH ski jacket last night. A testament to the fact that fat blokes can indeed wear DH.

That is the final straw for me!! First it was David Furnish...now Robbie 'F******' Williams?

On the brighter side!! You can always count DH to revive your struggling non-existence career!!

I have the book "Berlin", quite nice, I would buy "Stage" but pricey, still interesting though. Dont think I'll buy this book entirely about Pete... dont see the fascination.

London: The Birth Of A Cult is awesome just for the photography alone. You may not be a Pete fan but it comes with one of his books of Albion which are basically his scrawlings in one of his many diaries.

why are dior homme fans so posessive?
i can understand after the fuss over luster but its now just a standard fashion brand...
