When you say “jet set glamour” I immediately think Michael Kors and those advertisements he did with Testino (?) LOL.

Do you really think that aesthetic could still be relevant in the year 2025? I don’t know. You can't really go anywhere interesting with it. IMO "jet set glamour" has reached its finality in a way and should stay in the 2000's where it belongs.

And as for sexy/sensual fashion, I don't know about that either. Just look at Vaccarello. He is stuck in a time warp doing the same slinky sexy thing over and over again. It's tired now. And even when he tries to push the boundary on taste and does something vulgar (I'm thinking that horrendous bum dress on Zoe Kravtiz), it just looks so cringey and dated. We really do need something new. Something fresh and unexpected at Gucci.

Ah non, jet set glamour for me were those Gucci campaigns with Jacquetta Wheeler, Mini Anden or Caroline Ribeiros by Mario Testino.
The Michael Kors campaigns just tried to catch the wave (poorly).
It was 25 years ago as you said. So it might be time for a revival

I still don't get what's modern about jet-set glamour from the 90s/00s... which was inspired by the jet-set of the 70s, in 2025? It's just another creatively bankrupt copy of a copy of a copy fashion "inspiration". Not to bring up an old meme, but it's giving reheated nachos.

Additional announcements might fit the AV bill, but I'm not sure if the AV at Gucci can be considered 'radical' in any way. It seems more like a snooze fest. I think she sent it out yesterday already / most of Puck's readers are in the US.
The announcement should be today but I don't think they counted on Versace announcing something too, so we'll see what the strategies are.
