To be fair while this is an awful choice don’t really care much for Gucci as brand so he can go ruin that all he wants, just glad he got his dirty hands off Balenciaga which he ran into the ground. We can start afresh with a new Designer they cant go lower than Demna!!

I think it’s a shock therapy which might turned in their favour providing Demna will take seriously the post and won’t vulgarly repeat Balenciaga which is not possible in my opinion bc he barely managed to alter his trash aesthetics for couture. He will stay for longer than SdS bc he has the name the brand and loyal fans so they’ll naturally move to Gucci from Balenciaga bc Kering won’t be supporting both original and clone of the company. So if the sales will be good I bet he’ll stay there for quite some time and Balenciaga will get proper revamp and be downsized.

This is easily one of the most ridiculously desperate choices Kering could’ve possibly made for this appointment. I’m still in shock and it’s been nearly 12 hours since the announcement was made (with that choice of a portrait, no less).

I agree wholeheartedly that his consumer base is entirely too niche to fulfill what I can imagine are going to be very, very steep expectations set out for him by the execs - and this is coming from someone in her 20s. Best of luck. All I can really say is that.

yes something's even if i trust my friends its hard to know with what tone and who said what while i was not there etc so something i push with questions lol think !!!!
how did she or he say it and how long did he she work with him or her etc etc lol

like per example: i heard phoebe philo is starting to sell well even if recent pop up where total flop but there is some buzz with shoppers getting in touch with the product etc picking lots of pieces up because the quality they can feel it and Phoebe is putting limits on the buying for upcoming season which is crazy because the barely started to sell lol

On the contrary to Cantino’s statement, the sales girls in my nearby Gucci boutique mentioned yesterday that there are already talks among corporate that their colorful uniforms will be replaced to black similar to Balenciaga.

It will be sad to visit Gucci, that used to champion bold colors and whimsical takes on vintage references, turn into dark streetwear vibes.
