This show slayed! the intro is so cinematic. how many shows do we know today that are so fierce and great like this? even today's Dolce & Gabbana is boring. they need to stop obsessing over selfies and get back to this!

Oh this show! Such a memorable one. I remember being obsessed with it when it came out.

Looking back...there are some pretty dated notes, and also quite a few cheesy pieces...but everything is still charming, nonetheless. And there are some ideas here that are quite fabulous...I still love the Empire cocktail dresses with a pair of flats or kitten heels...it’s a niche look, but it’s still appealing.

Great cast, killer soundtrack, gorgeous eveningwear...back when Dolce & Gabbana was still a brand worth paying attention to....especially when the ads came out! Oh, God! I remember those iconic Meisel ads from this season...so amazing!!!

Oh i loved that show back in the day!
Looking at it now, most of it looks so dated (which is weird because the clothes from SS2006 and SS2007 still looks modern)!
But the real standout was the eveningwear! I would love to own one of those dresses today. The way the girls were holding them was so elegant!

FW2006 was a really great season. Like FW2008! It would be impossible to have nowadays a season with that many good and iconic shows as it was for that season!

I'm a bit sad looking at it and looking at Dolce & Gabbana today. They are talented and gifted but it's a pity.
To think that there was a time when they were likeable, putting good shows, pushing fashion forward and really influencial (there was a time when a Dolce & Gabbana collection set a trend and was copied everywhere) is so heartbreaking.

And the shows were so much fun!

^^Lola! Fall/Winter 2006 really was an incredible season. So many unforgettable collections that have stood the test of time...even ones like this, which, ironically, despite it looking “dated,” is still memorable in its own special way that collections nowadays really can’t compare to.

And, yes...it really is a shame about Dolce and Gabbana. I love, love, love them at their peak...the height of that early 00’s Euro-Trash look...absolutely sensational, sexy, exuberant, playful, fabulous clothes. Great shows, great campaigns, great brand.
