as I said before, there's no creativity nor originality... It was posted by me on the S/S thread and I can't believe they did it again O_o

Always the same. Same designs, different fabrics.
I don't know why they insist on take this direction. Missing their old collections.

They continue to make clothes for editorials rather than real women.

so stunning ca't wait to see these looks on the red carpet. I hope someone wears one of those crowns on the red carpet soon. Someone mentioned that they design clothes or editorial than or real women and I think its the opposite, their clothes are always very flattering on different body shapes. They make women look sexy yet sophiscated

That particular type of dress, I believe that is their "signature".

while i'm usually a sucker for literal religious refrences (see the perfect gaultier couture spring 2007 collection ) this is pretty lifeless and tacky.
i'd also hope for them to STOP putting out this clichey-touristy-postcardy image of 'italy' that only exists in their ads and sicilian souvenirs. it's tired and offensive, in a way.

I want to see something absolutely new by Dolce&Gabbana but they are continuing to do the same collections again and again. So sad.

The clothes on post #19 are so hideous, I can barely handle myself. Why is this still going on?

I don't know about you but I think it's totally the opposite, and back then there were some collections that were just more costume-y than what we've been seeing since S/S 10. They've gone back to their original designs and it's clearly been working for them, their revenue's skyrocket and I think it's because they've kept to an identity that IMO appears more polished, elegant but still remaining sexy, even if it's done the sicilian way. It's worked for Valentino, Jil Sander & Calvin Klein, so why change something that works so well?

yes i think we see this lace and these shapes because they sell really well in the store

The red at the end is AMAZING.

I don't see the problem with repeated Sicilian inspirations. It's the brand's DNA, they do it beautifully, and it apparently translates very well into revenue. I don't see too many people complaining about brands that do Parisian chic season after season.

It's a signature, and a lot of designers have them. That's like calling out Chanel for repeatedly putting out similar tweed jackets every season.
