i really love the menswear shot. it just shows how D&G can do something plain & simple & still have it come out great. i actually prefer the menswear over womenswear. Womenswear IMO actually looks catalogue-ish & not so D&G.
idk. but of course women's has a more popular cast. They kind of balance each other out being that the Men are probably all equally known, but not the biggest models in the industry. However, womens having Gemma,Jessica & lily have the biggest girls in the industry right now.
i could be wrong, but i feel like the aim of the men's advert. was for them to all work together & stand as 'one'; in a way it kind of is like them all being props which is why they didn't really have a leading man,y'know? But i could be wrong b/c i remember, i think it was D&G S/S 2006 when they had a really big female cast with all big names like Anja, Julia, Gemma, etc. [all big name girls] i think it was like 10 of them in all.
So you never know, it's all about the designer's intended effect or i could be making it too technical
