teint naturel which was almost 60 bucks

doesnt stay put on face and my clothes were all staind from my foundation.
if I would touch my face and then clothes

and i am not big fan of their nail polish either, it dries out sooo slowly and it doesnt last long,a lot of magazines recommend it as the best

Clinique cleansers and toners - the toner is supposed to be an exfoliant, but to them exfoliant means "paint and skin stripper".

Yuck, can you return them? It sucks to spend so much and have it not work!

Regarding chanel double perfection compact

When I'm so late in the morning that I don't even have time to wash my face, the chanel double perfection compact works wonders for me by smoothing out my uneven skin color and various spots of redness. I haven't experienced it rubbing off on my clothes though. In the summer time, i get a darker shade and it works well as a bronzer for me in the winter.

One of the worst products i've ever used was the Lancome Magicils colored latex mascara. It made my lashes very clumpy and was difficult to apply. Also, the process of washing it off was tedious and upsetting when i'd see a couple eyelashes coming off too while removing the stuff.

Do not, under any circumstances,be taken in by the Elizabeth Arden 8hr cream hype.

I was given a gift set of the "cult" 8hr cream,8hr lip balm and the 8hr hand cream...and not only are they all really smelly, they also make my skin very dry and breaky outy :( . Heading for the bathroom bin,I'm afraid....

I totally agree with you. I bought the eight hour cream and was really disapointed, I really hate the smell and it seems to do exactly same as vaseline. (which is much cheaper and minus the smell!)

I understand the comparison with vaseline, but the eight hour cream is much more hydrating...i noticed that.

wow...I started this thread sooooo long ago! I miss FS, but things have been nuts. I'd update saying:

Don't waste your money on:
Milani foundations (the e/s and blush, however, are EXCELLENT)

High end mascara (Shu basic is just a *teeny* bit better than my HG Maybelline F&S...every time I try another new, trendy mascara, I always regret it!

Expensive Cleansers. find one designed for your skintype, that washes away clean. I love St. Ives clear pore cleanser. The "special" stuff like BHA's, AHA's and other ingredients should be in your moisturizer, not something you wash off!

Toners that just have alcohol in them. I have, however, come to love DDF Alpha Hydroxy toner.

I'm sorry but i have to disagree. :P Last week i received my first Shu basic and i find it way better than the other L'oreal, Maybelline :smile:doh:smile: or Max Factor, etc.. i've used before. I would say Max Factor is the best among these 3 cheaper lines. ^^ With L'oreal it's a lil bit difficult to work cause clumpy sometimes, but with Shu i don't have any problems. I'm happy finally i find a really good mascara i stay with.

Different lashes ~ different mascara works, i suppose.. ^_^

I agree fully on that about loreal and max factor. I love 2000 cal mascara, and as much as I love loreal's they do clump a bit sometimes

cover girl stuff...

i'd agree with you ^ re: most of Cover Girl products
EXCEPT - i think their mascaras are fabulous!!
i LOVE Super Thick Lash (and Lash Exact for casual days).

Another addition-Rimmel eyeshadows. I get no colour whatsoever.

Maybelline unstoppable 'water proof' same as loreal lineaur intense.I have sensitive eyes especially in the winter, and my eyes tear up.I tried both eyeliners and they were NOT 'waterproof'.I love the lines lineaur itense produces but it's NOT waterproof!

Neutrogena moisturizers are not good!

I hate Neutrogena moisturizers...all of them are sooo greasy! But, the only thing i like of this brand is the "facial peel"..it works like a charm! It makes my skin sooo soft and clear...try it girls..

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse foundation - It's not matte at all; in fact, it's really greasy and it wouldn't look matte even if you 'set' your makeup with a blast of cold air and a bucket of dry ice.

and it doesn't look natural. I just hated it!

benefit you rebel tinted moisturiser! for some reason this oxidised in the heat (i live in australia) and turned a really dark, unnatural colour.

Alamay- Eyeshadow that are made for specific eye colors, it was plain and did not make my eyes pop or do anything for that matter what so ever, bad buy.

Very high tech, expensive anti-ageing creams when you're under 35:( . I used the La Prairie skin care line for a year or two,and my reward was eczema, clogged pores, extreme combination skin,a drama.

I finally saw a facialist who recommended Dermatologica cleanser, toner and moisturiser, and a scrub twice a week...and all my troubles were over.not a mention of "ageing" anywhere on the tubes, but I don't appear to have acquired any more wrinkles even though I'm older now.

I'm sure that just the fact that I look happier makes me look younger now...and now what to do with the approx 500euros worth of expensive white elephant on the shelf??
