thanks for the images, dandelion. it makes me so sad to realize that i didn't know who she was until a few years ago.

Thank you for those Dandelion! I like being able to see more of Edie's room.

Edie and Bobby Neuwirth dated for a while but i don't think it was two years, one year at the most. But i don't think her a Dylan ever really dated. It's a fact that they met a few times but we'll never know anymore than that positively which is why i still think it was pointless to have a Dylan character in Factory Girl. I'm sure that Dylan was intrigued by Edie like everyone was which is probably why some of his songs seem to be inspired by her but to say they dated is conjecture.

Awww..I love those pics thanks for posting them. She looks so cute in the second one.

I went to see that Warhol exhibition today, that I wrote about earlier.
It was great, though, I was disapointed at the way they showed the movies. they had a big square in the middle of a room, the room was covered with paintings and photos.
in this square, there were lots of big screens showing the movies, and they were all over the place.
so if you were sitting and watching one movie, there would also be a movie showing to your right, and to your left, and behind you, and you couldn´t hear a thing.
I tried to see Kitchen, but it was impossible, and I just got tired of all the sounds around me.

in another room they had small screens showing Andy´s tv-show, and there you could have earphones on you, so it was nice to sit there and watch them, I loved the shows!

here and there was other screens showing different stuff, like the Factory Diaries and some of Jonas Mekas movies.

I kind of got stuck to a movie showing Paul America, talking about weird stuff. I wanted to see all of it, but I had to stand up, and I got tired after a while.
I might go back and try to see it again.

mostly I loved seeing Edie´s photobooth pictures :) the originals.

That sounds so cool fairyx! I wonder why they showed the movies like that? It seems like they weren't thinking ahead about the sound.

scan from new york in the sixties. It's pretty dark but edie's in there.

She's an eternal icon she represents everything you shouldn't do but it's hard because it's so glamorous. I hate myself.

I wouldn't say that she represents everything you shouldn't do. I think she made a lot of bad choices but so have a lot of people. Edie had a hard life and maybe she chose the wrong way to deal with it but i think that she brought a lot of joy to peoples lives while she was alive and that is definitely what one should do!

I think she showed a lot of strength and resilience, too - she had so many things holding her back and messing her up already, but she still made a name for herself and inspired a lot of people in the brief time she had.

Hi McClair so glad you found the thread too^^ It's nice to have more Edie fans here

She was definitely an exploding comet, but not of this earth. There is no place on on this world that could sustain the fame, decadence, style, tragedy, fun, recklessness, craziness, impromptuness, destructiveness, regalness of it all. And whoever you are don't come back with a sly remark to best me, because it's tiring.

thanks fairyx! photo scanned by me from Andy Warhol Motion Pictures Book
